The fans behaved well and unlike English fans behaved badly in Portugal.

I prefer Jose Mourinho when he is not a manager of the opposing clubs. He gave Jurgen Klopp the highest accolades as a commentator.

Before the final, he said Liverpool will win simply because of Klopp and better players.

You can feel that both Wenger and Mourinho give huge respect to Liverpool FC as a whole, the history of the club, the supporting fans, the manager Klopp and his coaching staff, and the players playing their hearts out for Klopp.

and the victory parade that followed in the streets of Liverpool city was unbelieveable! there's a never better time to be a Liverpool FC supporter.

oh...................and I made myself the promise that I will watch the finals at the Changi airport T3, although my flight was at 8am. i checked in at 1am, went through immigration and then all the shops were closed (no shopping). i walked to all the TV sets at the departure area but none was showing (siao liao!). finally found a big screen at Harry's bar where they were showing the life telecast. What a night!!! :D:D:D and at 6am all the shops started to reopen and did some last minute shopping.

i think the biggest odds was Liverpool beating Barcelona and going through to the finals.

next season Liverpool will be joint favorites with MC for the PL title.

Intriguing to note both Tiger Woods and Liverpool had not won for 14 years. Both struggled through 14 years of turbulent times.

Hope Tiger Woods won more Masters and Liverpool just follow suit.

My wish is the PL Holy Grail.

Liverpool confirm 9 summer departures along with contract offers to 5 youth players

https://www.thisisanfield.com/2019/0...youth-players/

Liverpool have released their Premier League retained list, which confirms those who are departing the club this summer.

It was announced earlier in the week that senior duo Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno are leaving upon the expiration of their contracts, with Jurgen Klopp paying tribute to both players.

There will also be a clutch of Academy players departing the scene, as well as two players with first-team appearances to their name.

Goalkeeper Adam Bogdan, who signed in 2015, leaves after playing six senior games for the Reds. He spent 18/19 on loan at SPL side Hibs.

Connor Randall, who plays at right-back and in midfield, will also leave Liverpool, with eight appearances to his name.

Five players based at Kirkby who are leaving on free transfers are Juanma, Conor Masterson, Glen McAuley, Corey Whelan and Ben Williams.

None made a senior appearance, though centre-back Masterson was on the bench twice last season, against Everton in the league and Man City in Europe.

Furthermore, the club have offered contracts to five players who are without a senior game to their name: Bobby Adekanye, Daniel Atherton, George Johnston, Abdi Sharif and Edvard Tagseth.

Johnston played a friendly last summer for Jurgen Klopp‘s team, but it is expected that at least some may depart regardless of the offer of terms.

Lazio have been heavily linked with a move for Adekanye and the forward has already said his goodbyes to fans via social media.

However, the Reds offering him a contract means the Italian side would have to pay a fee to secure his registration for next season.

Tagseth looked a promising young talent under Steven Gerrard’s tutelage in the U18s, but struggled with injuries throughout 18/19.

I'm still reviewing the saved vids from the Liverpool - Barcelona match. It is indeed special at Anfield.

Didn't Mourinho call Wenger a specialist in failure? Life can be so strange sometimes.

There are many types of goals scored at Anfield. Long distance shots, goals after a series of great passes, spectacular goals. Sometimes we can see a better version of a long distance goal/goal after great passes, spectacular goal...

but I think I will never see a better version of the 4th goal. How cunning that goal is :D and the icing on the cake is the opponent is a top team like Barcelona. I was watching it live and the goal did not really register in my mind until I watched the replay. Somehow in the back of my mind, I was waiting for the referee to wave off the goal for some reason (like must wait for his whistle etc). Awesome awesome awesome. Even today when I see the 4th goal, it's still unbelievable.

Pierre.

If I am not wrong, this is the last season in the New Balance deal. I think they are going all out to make beautiful classic jerseys to maximise sales.

with Liverpool's current media exposure, it will be a Mega deal to supply the next Liverpool kit.

Liverpool jersey sales must have doubled after CL victory!

I made such a stupid mistake.

I had bet on Liverpool to win the CL before the Q-Finals...... but after Liverpool lost to Barca 3-0 ...... I threw away the ticket thinking impossible for Liverpool to overturn that score in the 2nd leg.
I squeeze balls when I see that 2nd leg score and really regret when Liverpool beat Spurs in the Final..

Stupid bodoh me threw away $380 which I could have collected from S'pools.

one thing you have to learn is never ever write off Liverpool. not as they always say in wrestling "it ain't over till the fat lady sings".....that magical night in istanbul, i also wanted to shut off the tv after the half time...thought there was no way for them to get back into the game...but something just told me to stick with them good or bad sink with the ship...and how rightly they prove me wrong and came back to win even though it was through penalties...:D

Note Mourinho referring to Wenger as "Mr Wenger" :D

Have you seen the vids at the end of our home games where Klopp runs towards the Kop end punching his clenched fist out and the Kop roaring back in delight & cheering him on with glee? To add some spice and more thrill, Klopp always seems to tease the Kop a bit beforehand as well!

Gives me goosebumps whenever I click on to those vids as it just shows you how much mutual love & affection Klopp & the Kop have for each other, really palpable:cool:

Agree with you on Mourinho. He seems a changed man when he is not managing a football club. Nice decent character as opposed to the nasty egotist.

Perhaps also good for his health as he looks ten years younger now from 6 months ago when he was managing United!
