hi bro,

wow...so many cheongsters....last week....another group of samsters were at balai with a strength of 11 cheongsters....and always attract attention as the group is too huge....

11 x 2 = 22 people...

maybe divide into two teams to play 11 aside football

cons : waiting time, co-ordination job, etc.

its will be a hard time for the main co-ordinator....cheers to you..bro ronsee..

Perhaps it was my first trip, kanna forced to pay Rp50k (SGD10) to the fucker at the arrival immigration counter. I was shocked when he openly asked for bribery. I refused to pay initially, but gave in as he was going to confiscate my passport into his drawer. Walked to find hotel. Maxi was fully booked.

Normal lah. Just pay them. dont dress too nicely, just normally. Dont show your gold rings or necklace too. Customs have not much money nowadays, so they will try to get on whatever they can.

Kopi with bro Ronsee, he suggest to standby your driver's as well for in case. But i see Balai so many drivers around shldn't be a problem. For controlling 13 x 2= 26 people not a problem to me, as i alway org big event and sometime up to 1000 people. My last event was to Genting Highland, total 5 buses with my 130 customer's.

Re: Batam, Bintan, Balai Field reports

Yeah BTM for me has lost its attractiveness and lure since 2 years ago and havent gone over since then.

Because of its proximity to Sillypore it was only a matter of time when it became what it is today.

As for balai, having seen it today and 10 yrs ago...really not such major changes except the closure of OZONE disco and the establisment of
Villa and Ruko as the new concentrated booking joints.

Looking at the situation in Balai, it is unlikely there will be major changes in the coming years. The economy trives basically on foreign investment aka cheongsters who go in there and book ceweks and spend $ on food entertainment etc.

BTM has its own industrial and business parks and that itself helps to give it sustenance and create jobs for the locals.

I hope balai will continue for what it is right now...its charm (kampong feel) and slow pace of living is one of the main reasons many cheongsters are willing to endure the 90mins ferry trip.

Cheers

I can support that and I dun disagree of its lost of its lure there. Batam is too commercialized and prices have been steadily going up. Even tho with devts, it still leave tha mainstream ceweks without education to sell their bodies to make ends meet or to leave day by day with no tomorrow attitude. Tha law is also clamping on its image as thay wan to sell Batam as a potential investing area, so its gona be a tough one for one and all. Cheers!
