I'd speculate/think that of late, since there are so many VB's doing their tours of duty in Singapore and other places, there'd be more of them who would have multi language abilities. But I also agree with Hurricane - that if your main criteria is their Chinese language abilities, then you'd be better off staying in Singapore to party. Be a bit more adventurous and take in all that HCMC is otherwise famed for - I'm very sure that you will probably enjoy yourself more this way. You can go through Hurricane's list to determine which KTV's are located in China town. Just suggesting thass'all! And just like Hurricane - not to upset anyone...skip if you dun like to read... Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)
hello bro
i been to and stay around this hotel Signature near chjolon ( In Cao Dat ) how much was the pricing like few years ago ? i was quote 1mil to 2 mils for LT and . KTV drink plus fruits may close to SGD 150 . 2 pax + 1 local motor taxis uncle ///// Don't know if useful or not, but on my first trip to HCMC many years ago, my local friend took me to a KTV in the China town part where we sat with a few Chinese/English speaking girls - not that many but enough to make it an enjoyable evening. But I also remember that even at that time, prices were NOT cheap. |

Tourists with visa exemption will buy a return ticket to and fro VN. They will make a short trip to Cambodia before flying back to their countries via VN again. I know a few of my colleagues in Phnom Penh, purposely take a bus to HCMC, stay a night or 2 then fly back to their countries for a few days and return to HCMC and take a bus back to Phnom Penh. Why they doing this is because air ticket is cheaper in VN and also not a lot of international flight to and fro Phnom Penh. If the new policy is implemented, this will effect businessmen and tourists. This policy, doubt is meant to deal with long stayer. Long stayer normally will max the no. of days before doing a border runs with a day or 2 in other country. |

Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)
Time to come up with my oft repeated suggestion to apply for an APEC card.
3 year validity for entry into 20 or so countries in lieu of visas, expedited immigration clearance through diplomatic/special channels, for stays in most countries up to 90 days. SEAJ |

Application process is very simple and cheap; all it takes is a couple or so month's wait for issuance if you want all country entry permits, but can be shortened if all you want is certain countries only. SEAJ Ps edit: There is quite a thorough discussion on APEC card starting from: http://www.sammyboyforum.com/showthr...c#post11763516 |
