Hi bros, intending to make a trip to viet end month. Staying at Novotel Saigon Ctr at Hai Ba Trung st. Any place to recommend for interesting activities around the area? Tx in advance.

i do know of some cases where the hotel allows female guest when the guest is check in together on the very 1st day.

just ask the duty manager when u reach...no harm asking anyway

Need some clarification. V confuse as newbie. I was searching in H88 self help for MP, and notice a MP at 167 Hai Ba Trung in D1. Same addy as Novotel hotel in D3. Do they have same st names but in diff District?

Also, any recommendation for MP near walking dist from Novotel?

nothing to be confused...in many cities esp. HCM one street can be long and run thru a few districts...hehe...:p

example..famous Tran Hung Dao street..run from D1 to D5...to Tran Hung Dao B in D5...hahaha....:confused::confused:

Also Le Van Sy...runs from District Tan Binh, Phu Nhuan and D3...:confused:

oops forgot to say...the roads name repeat in almost all the cities...so Tran Hung Dao where...HCM or Hanoi or some other cities...can be in Danang...kkkkk...^^

Thanks H88 for the fast and clear answer :).

Need senior bros advice. As mentioned, will be at Novotel hotel for conference. So can only go out in the late evening, and will be alone as most of my other colleagues are ladies. Any MP to recommend? Feel will be a wasted opportuniry if nvr have some fun when there :p. Dun think advisable to venture alone to pubs and ktv rt? Pls advise if otherwise. :D

sure as newbie first time plenty of questions...my take is what time you are free...last call for MP is 11pm...also what you are looking for and hope to achieve...:confused:

problem with newbies...answer one question...ask 10 more questions...so many seniors dun bother to reply...and we may had answered many times in this thread...:p

as for pubs and ktv again what you hope to achieve...are you willing to pay for mini hotel if you get a gal and dare you to venture only outside not knowing the city and language...hahaha....:)

from what i knew...many newbies asked for fun and then nothing brewing...because they will not dare to be adventurous...:)

I have been searching for places near the hotel but no result :(. Honestly, first time there with language barrier, dun intend to venture out. That is y looking at MP with happy ending. Dun need full service type ;). Just want try some Vn syt.

First time in Vietnam; HCMC.
Go to birthday party with a gal whom I know for less than 3 hours.
Reach my hotel 4am.

August 2013
Go to a birthday with 2 gals. Reach hotel 3am in the morning.

August 2013
Go Da Lat; go out for supper with 1 gal. Go back hotel 2am.

Nothing to fear; life is short play hard. Even today I consider myself newbie.

I am simple; just a few bottle of beers and some simple roadside food can satisfied me.

Nowadays seldom go KTV when I am in HCM. Maybe old already......:p
