Thanks for this punishing two month schedule bro.

Tough, exciting and hopefully successful times ahead!

Come on you Reds!!

Any of the top 4 teams will be having hectic schedule but will be rewarded well. Need to utilize full squad.

Except Everton which may be able to do well without Europe matches. Seems to be the dark horse for the EPL title. Odds slashed for outright win to 20:1.

Wonder why Firmino scored goals for Brazil playing center forward and why Klopp dun play him similar?

Klopp wanted him to play more defensive and pull players away letting Mane and Salah to score.

they should rotate this role of drawing out the defenders among Pool 3 attackers so that every one gets a chance to score, and in doing so the front 3 becomes more unpredictable.

otherwise Firmino will always be the false 9 role.

Actually it doesn't matter who score the goals as long as 3pts in the pocket. If Firmino is most effective as a false 9, just let it be cos that's his strength!

This schedule will change. Liverpool city has been handed the harshest deterent in the whole of England with 4 weeks of lockdown. Only essential services / schools / government offices are allowed to operate..... all other businesses are to close including gyms & sports facilities. No gathering of more than 6 people within family members and not more than 4 of non family members.

This means that Liverpool team cannot train together in full squad and has to do training in small groups of 4 players each group.

Latest update after Internationals.

Overall not too damaging (pending inevitable COVID tests).

Biggest drawbacks are Gini and Virgil playing a lot of intense minutes and obviously no time for the full squad to train with Jurgen.

Some positives though; Jota and Firmino having confidence building performances, and minutes in the legs for Henderson and even Shaqiri, plus return of Thiago, Mane and Matip.

2 games a week until Xmas so squad looking in good shape, minus COVID and Alisson.

That said, have not factored in the latest COVID lock down in the city of Liverpool.

Jota is in form, Minamino is in form. but i suspect we will see Origi on the bench for this coming match. Origi has an amazing record against Everton. I think the Evertonian players see him already sian half. :p

Excited yet nervous about tonight's game.

Everton's investment was almost totally in their midfield and it looks like it has paid off for them so far. However, what we need to do is nullify that threat which, considering our strategy is to control games, should be well within our capabilities, especially with someone like Thiago playing that slightly deeper role. We take out the influence of Doucoure, James and Allan, stop them from feeding Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin and I believe we will win.

Come on you Reds!

Minamino is not so in form imo, he's still trying to cope in the Epl. Those matches he played were against all the lower teams so we can't really gauge from there. He should build up on his bulk to make up for his lack in height.

He hasn't peaked yet I agree. Just that since he joined us, this is the best he has ever played. Last year he looked lost at times. He will get better.

On the last note before the Derby, the match is on at 7.30 pm. It's been such a long time since we have a match in decent timing for us. Very sian of those matches at kick off at 12.30 am or 3.30 am. Hope to watch and chat with you all during the match. Just post here if you have any comments to make during the live screening.
