Personally I find all the cities & places u mentioned too boring. Pattaya I have in mind is not smack in the middle of whore town; just north at Sattahip (OK technically not Patts anymore). Heck even Jomtien looks quite peaceful. Patts is closer to Bangkok plus I prefer the sea. Ask most Thais where they wanna retire to and all will say "home town!" which IMHO is worst!

Side track a bit... reading today's Silly Times has this big story of this Jaffary Maharan who claims he is stuck in Bangkok for 3 years because he is being sued by a Thai so cannot go back home? Claims cannot work, no money so relies on the generosity of family & friends but stays in a BHT18,000 (down grade from a Bht50,000 house) a month apartment??? :rolleyes:

2) Eat street food daily, 20-40thb per meal, per month 2400 thb.
3) Watch Thai TV shows without cable, free.
4) Use free wifi, free.
5) Use fan instead of air con. electricity about 500 thb per month.
6) Take bus, train, tuk and motorsai, no taxi. 2000 thb per month.
7) Drink beer bought from super market, 1000 thb per month.
8) Misc, 1000 thb per month.

All the above is about USD 350.

One night at the PIMP will make you homeless for a month :D

There aren't any faithful red, sometimes they "peng" to yellow, and sometimes they are red. And the current generation don't give a damn to yellow or red.
