Chelsea drew level with Burnley, Pool must take advantage and narrow the gap with Chelsea.

Agreed with you.

Chelsea will have quite a packed schedule and difficult games coming up. Also will be playing the World Club tournament in December.

For some strange reason this season, Salah seems to be able to write a new record for each game he plays. If he scores tonight, he will rewrite John Toshack's record and be the highest scorer against West Ham.

He is also many goals ahead of Harry Kane this season. I cannot see many players over taking him in the Golden Boot this season. Plus other players have an advantage when he goes for Afcon.

Any victory will do tonight.

Brentford redux. Credit to Moyes, pulled one over Klopp.

Jurgen made a big mistake not starting Kostas. Robbo has not been at the races for a while. Also with West Ham's set piece physicality why not Konate over Matip?

Alisson had a shocker last night but won't hold it against him as he has saved us many a time previously. And Mane's misses, oh dear. Surprisingly thought Virgil had a good game even though we conceded so many goals. Also Divock and Takumi were not bad when they came on.

What worries me the most though is that we appear to only know how to play one way. When it comes off it’s brilliant. But when you play with 7 players in the opponent’s half and you give the ball away so easily like Robbo and Mane did last night then you’re going to get caught out at the back. That’s been our problem since Atletico in March 20.

Everything what we've seen so far this season makes me think it's all going end up with a Divock Origi winning goal in the CL final.:D

Seriously though, how come the Cresswell's challenge wasn’t even a foul? Definite red card to me.

Anyways lots for Klopp to chew on over the International Break.

I always find Pool being very exposed @the back n it was clearly proven last night. The midfield didn't do enough of covering up, only Vvd did well yesterday among the back 4..Konate would have been a better option than Matip as Antonio gave the 2 CBs a lot of problems. Poor performance overall even though with lotsa possession. The team doesn't look motivated n Pool doesn't have a strong bench to change the game if needed.

i looked at the replay and first goal by West Ham should have been disallowed, AB was clearly obstructed. Cresswell should have been red carded.

Konate would have been better choice with the big West Ham players.

Pool is too open at the back and the counterattack by West Ham exposed the weakness. Overall Pool could have done better, and Mane could have scored.

Latest big news, Stevie G heads back south to take over at Villa.

Wish Gerrard all the best(except when we play Villa) and I think it's a great opportunity for him.

It will be interesting to see how Carragher reacts if Gerrard has a difficult time though. He's been super critical (rightly) of Neville going easy on Solskjaer.

Some notable dates for Stevie G and us perhaps!

1st December (v Pep)
5th December (v Brendan)
11th December (v Klopp, Anfield return)
14th December (v Norwich and probably Lampard managing)
Boxing Day (v Tuchel)
15th Jan v Man United (whoever replaces Ole:D)
22nd Jan (v Rafa, at Goodison)
16th April (Klopp again)
22nd May, last game of season (v Pep again)

Just imagine last game of of the season, we need City to lose for us to win the PL and Villa do this in the last minute, Stevie G immediately takes a cab to head back to Anfield to celebrate with us, Roy of the Rovers stuff:p

Back to reality, gather Mane might have been injured during the International break. Haizz, wish this was closer to Afcon:(

SG taking a huge gamble because Premier League is not the same comparison as Scottish PL.

Liverpool will not appoint a failure as manager if Villa dun stay up and he got sacked.

Hope SG can last more than a year. Heard he keen to take our deadwoods away. Well why not if we have surplus.

I feel it's really different. Villa is not a top 4 club expecting to challenge for titles plus Man U spend big for Solskajer. Varane, Sancho, Ronaldo. Buy big players will of course want big results.

Villa beat Man U at Old Trafford on the 25th Sept. On 16th of Oct, they lost 2-3 to Wolves at home with Wolves scoring 3 goals after the 80th minute. After this match, I think their squad gave up on the former manager and the subsequent results were bad.

Rangers fans are quite abusive about Gerrard leaving though. Few remembers him winning a title for them last year. The title last year is super important as it prevent Celtics from winning 10 in a row. Winning 10 in a row supposedly has some additional meaning in Scotland.

If Villa steers clear of relegation, he has met his goal. If Villa gets into top 10, he will be up for manager of the year (also-ran nomination lah). I went through Villa's side and results. They have a young and rather talented team. Danny Ings is there too.

I like that Gerrard can help us take away points from our nearest competitors. Plus he is familar with Liverpool youth having been our Under 18 coach. I think he can help us with squad development with some useful loans. Maybe Neco Williams will get some playing time. Minamino too. Even Kelleher, Nat Phillips... On a smaller possibility, maybe even Curtis Jones who has worked with Gerrard before.
