I have this theory. Since our American owners took over, our match times are getting later. Our match times seem to suit the American market. We seldom have 7.30 pm kickoff anymore. Yesterday's 1.30 am match in Singapore is like 12.30 pm in New York. The Americans can watch the match over lunch.

Unlikely. Paul Pogba won the world cup. Ronaldo won everything. Steve Bruce won nothing much so how does he command respect from the players? OGS is respected because he is backed by Alex Ferguson. I think chances are they will switch OGS with another manager backed by Alex Ferguson. I think it is likely Ryan Giggs take over. After all, RG has been groomed to take over for quite some time. He was assistant manager to LVG and he supposedly understands the 'Man U' way.

I think their main problem is their former players seldom go into management. Many became pundits who proceed to whine about their team on TV.

On our side, look at how former Liverpool players have moved onto management. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/fea...pool-teammates Alonso is missing from this list. If we want to be managed by a former player, we have some good choices.

Have to say this on Klopp's team selection that he does seem to play favourites at times. Latest eg would be playing Robbo ahead of Tsimikas even when Kostas looks to be more in form.

Selection of our manager has to be on merit and not sentiment bro. King Kenny's second poor spell is a good eg and I trust FSG has learnt from this mistake. No doubt Stevie G would be an ideal romantic choice but it must be done strictly on merit.

Tsimikas is better at dead ball situations. His crosses from corners and freekicks are quite accurate. We are so lucky now. When do we EVER get 2 good left-backs fighting for a spot? Don't say Riise and Traore ah.. :p

As for the manager, Liverpool is famous for our boot room strategy. Micheal Edwards is being replaced by Julian Ward. Julian Ward has been working for us so we shouldn't expect any major surprises in strategy when the change in personnel happens. Likewise, when Klopp leaves, Pep Lijnders should be considered too. Like how Shankly passed the role to Bob Paisley who then passed the role to Joe Fagan.

It was just a joke making fun of the Scums about Steve Bruce taking over! Or I won't mind Sam Allardyce replacing OGS also... :D

Tell you another joke. Someone shared this following joke with me.

Harry Maguire's red card meant he will miss next weekend's match against Chelsea. Chelsea is appealing against the red card decision. :D

The situation at United is truly shocking, not that I am complaining.

They've been a basket case for the guts of a decade now and just moving deckchairs around the Titanic. No plan, no strategy, no vision.
Just keep throwing money at it and hope something eventually clicks. Insane.

I really believe Ferguson is a big part of the problem. They wasted 3 years under Ole just because Ferguson wanted his pet there. Ferguson's influence & power is holding that club back and the best thing they could do is relieve him of any executive power or input. But they won't and hopefully they don't for another 20 years.

Actually might not be a joke bro. Gather Sol Campbell been quoted somewhere saying he thought Bruce was in the running to be interim manager.

Rooney also appears to be throwing his hat into the ring.

Whoever eventually takes over from Klopp is going to have huge shoes to fill. Fingers crossed we get it right, if not it is going to be another painful time in the wilderness.

Good for us that they cannot get things right at board level. We have a Ferguson level icon too but Kenny Dalglish does not interfere in the running of the club. He is more like an elderly statesmen.

Well if the next manager needs to be a former Man U player, Steve Bruce fits the bill. Might as well consider Bryan Robson too. Rooney... May not be calm enough to be a manager. I think the appointment that will excite many Man U fans will be Cantona. If Ronaldo can come back, why not Cantona... ex player may do more harm than good though...just look at what Souness did to us. He sold Peter Beardsley!

From a Liverpool angle, I don't mind Alonso coming back to manage us in future. Unfortunately Fowler doesn't do as well when he is a manager. Surprised Jamie Redknapp didn't choose to follow his father's footsteps into management.

Glazers & the rest of the board/management apart from say Charlton and Ferguson know shit about football and actually I think they don't really care about football, as all they seem interested in is making money, something which they are good at.

We suffered the same shit earlier with the other two greedy Americans. Have to give credit to FSG for bringing stability to Liverpool which has helped return us back to the top table with some sustainable success.

And you are right about the comparison between the two iconic Scots. Long may this continue, good for us and bad for them.

On the United interim manager front, actually I would like to see a combo of Keane & Neville. Both were abject failures as managers but now huge pundits. Talk so big, let us see how they do when put to the test. I suspect big fireworks, entertaining dramarama and eventual failure once again:D

Back to Liverpool, there is one ex-reds Legend who was one of my favs while growing up and find it a bit strange and curious why he was never given an opportunity to run our club. That Legend is none other than mighty mouse Kevin Keegan. Possibly might have been a failure but still he had the credentials at the time and might have been a success instead. Another ex-reds who should have been considered was Keegan's strike partner, big John Toschack. Think both Keegan and Toshack's managerial track records were at least better than Souness.

Anyway that was all in the past. Back to present, just read about Stevie G's latest memo at Villa - Steven Gerrard bans fizzy drinks, sauces and puddings from canteen menu at Aston Villa:D Looks like this is the new in thing as I gather Conte has banned tomato ketchup at Spurs:p

Finally a combo of Gerrard/Alonso at Liverpool in the foreseeable future might be something to consider perhaps?

Got to go down as a perfect night.

Good team to start with. No injuries. Thought Morton & Ox were great and of course Thiago is just an outrageous footballer. The goal just capped off what was a fantastic performance by him.

One of the things I love about that Thiago goal is you can see just how hard he hits it given how it dips then rises again in the air without touching the ground. To hit it so hard and so true is just phenomenal, described as a daisy cutter.

Pray Fabinho/Thiago axis stay fit, healthy and sharp. Because if this should happen I dare say we challenge seriously for both the CL and PL(naturally all our other key players need to remain in the play as well for this to happen).

Everywhere you looked, just another success story. Konate, Tsimikas, Milner etc all having their own individual stories to tell whilst being part of the collective that's looking more and more assured.

Klopp will be made up with last night.

Well in RedMen.:)
