Real Madrid, wow!!
Modric and Benzema still have it:cool: Although their defence is a bit crap. It’s the manner of the win though, not the fact they won. PSG pretty much threw 2 goals in. Madrid were absolutely rinsed the 1st half, no one saw them coming back. Then Donnarumma did a Karius and set the time for the rest of that half, gave them a sniff and PSG capitulated, Madrid capitalised. Fair play to Madrid but what top side has a goal scored against them 12 seconds after kick off after just conceding? Ridiculous:p I can't wrap my head around PSG letting Thiago Silva go on a free. Mbpappe, Neymar and Messi and this is the outcome? PSG are proof that you cannot buy history. Messi's Balon'dor wins are over. Gini must be wondering wtf and as for Poch, don't tell me just another overrated manager?? Hopefully these Arab-owned clubs are never going to win the Champions League. Perhaps there is a curse that has been put on them:D |

Who will pay his big transfer fees given what he had won? Football is a team sport and need 11 players playing together as a team. Salah knew how important to have good team mates and why he may never leave Liverpool because he may never play at the same level again in another club. Torres flopped after joining Chelsea Suarez reasonable success when join Barcelona Owen flopped after joining Real Madrid. Ian Rush flopped after joining Juventus and resurrected his career after re-joining Liverpool one year later. This is a special season when nobody gave Liverpool a chance at the start of season and Klopp proved many doubters wrong.. Finger crossed the players may get the hands on another silverware or more to update the Champions Wall. |

I feel Salah will be sold. Regardless of how good he is, our ability to pay him has to be based on economic factors. We have made a loss last year. With the Ukraine war, many of our sponsors will be looking at cost cutting. Very few teams in the world now can afford the wages he is asking for and the transfer fee his transfer will command. Just have to tell him you are unlucky the world is not at an economic peak when you are at your physical peak.
I read this really funny article but I can't seem to find the link now. It talks about Frank Lampard. He managed Derby which has gone into administration and has 12 points deduced. He then managed Chelsea which has been sanctioned badly recently. He then managed Everton which is now facing points deduction for breaching profit and sustainability rules. :D Sibeh sway manager. Hattrick!!! :p Someone needs to buy him a bag of flowers for him to take a shower. By the way, don't think too much about the Chelsea sanctions. We will not benefit from it as I don't think the club selling saga will extend to the next transfer window. Basically the UK govt is trying to depress the selling price of Chelsea. If the club is sold before the next window, all transfer embargo will be lifted. Enough time to complete the sale at the lowest price. |

On Mo, sadly tend to agree with you bro.
After Jurgen's neutral comments on Mo's contract situation at the Brighton pre-match presser yesterday, Salah's agent apparently posted six laughing with tears emojis in social media. Not a good sign? It is what it is. Most importantly, we get top dollar for Mo if he is not staying and in the meantime hopefully he helps us to win more silver this season. On the Roman UK sanctions, tbh think it is pretty fair as they are meant to punish Roman for his links to Putin and not CFC per se. From the latest that I have read on this situation, looks like CFC might get new owners within the next 2 months free of debt and no proceeds going to Roman. So don't think CFC shall incur any major problems in the long term. That said, CFC unlikely to have an unlimited spending power new owner like Roman though. Back to tonight's Brighton match, going to be a tough one as I think Brighton knows how to play our high line game. Also not confirmed but rumours flying around that Virgil, Konate and Thiago might be down with Covid, arrrh! So much for an injury free/non sick squad and Thiago just can't seem to get a long clean run of games:( Gotta dig deep. Come on you Reds! Quote:

Salah seems to want to stay in the EPL. Not sure if we will sell and strengthen a direct competitor. The only choice will be Man City I feel. They can basically sign Kane and Salah next season. Ridiculous when FFP is in place. Anyone watching the match now? Can chit chat here as the game proceeds. I think we will win 3-1 tonight. Diaz needs to start scoring or providing assists. |
