3-0! Time to rest players and prepare for Man U. I have never saw a Liverpool player score off a tackle before.

Not everyone who posts in this thread is a Liverpool fan. We are not over-confident. Most of us were watching the Liverpool - Benfica match. The match ended 10 minutes before A Madrid - Man City match. Many of us switched channels to watch the end of that match and we saw how violent A madrid players were. It's more like a WWE match at times. We know Man City will not be at full strength for a while

Absolutely dominating City!

Passing through the lines at every opportunity and making good use of the angles being created.

Reminds me of the champions league quarter final where we were up 3-0 before halftime and killed the tie. Feels like a home game too. Definitely our best midfield!

Keita, Diaz and Mane been on a different level today:cool:

City without KDB look bang average.

Also Fernandinho is a typical South American sly snake and Oliver the ref might be in Sheikh oil bags pockets:rolleyes::D

Next goal going to be huge again.

Got to tighten this up at the back, and if possible cripple that cheat Oliver accidentally and get a real ref on:rolleyes::D

Destroyed City in the first half, gave them a foot in the door early in the second, then another near the end, but we slammed it shut.

Still think we were far better than City for the entire game. Scoreline definitely flattered them.

Well done Redmen:cool:

Big shout out to Thiago whom i forgot to mention in my earlier post:o He ran the show for me and was outstanding!

How did Fernandinho finish the game though? I counted three yellow card fouls!!

Worse still gather Man City fans disrespecting the Hillsborough show of respect, scumbags:mad:

Anyways buzzing that we are now in our 2nd domestic cup final of the season!

We move on to Tuesday’s United game.

Believe, the Journey continues and Enjoy the Ride.

Quite comfortable win despite the results. Agreed that MC without KDB is average team.

Mane first goal was Steffen howler.

It could be anyone's game tomorrow and may the best team wins.

1-1 (and Man C to progress after penalties)

I am unbiased pundit who make predictions based on team performances and injuries.

I made many predictions in the past that Liverpool lost but this season Liverpool surprised me.

I still think MC will win the PL title with 7 matches to play and MC will not worry about FA Cup SF lost. The PL title is for MC to lose.

with MC injuries piling up, they may slip up in the final 7 games. last game is against Aston Villa and Stevie G may do Pool a favor. and Pep has to ensure the 1st team players are fit enough to play against RMA in the 2 legs CL semi-finals.

and Pool also need to win as many games as possible to ensure they are able to overtake MC when the opportunity arises.

City fans getting salty after last night's L.

Basically saying Pep 'threw' the game and Liverpool beat City's 'B' team.

Well on the first claim, if that is indeed true than Pep has to win the CL now. If not he would be considered a failure.

As for the second claim, the way i see it, last Sunday's game at the Etihad, City were at their very best level in the first half and we were shit but yet City could not kill off that match.

Move on to last night's game, at Wembley a neutral ground mind you, and we were at our very best level in the first half and City were shit, most importantly we were able to see out the game.

So i would say very fine margins but looks like we are now a bit ahead of City with that all important momentum behind us.

Key now is going to be which side is able to remain more injury free and fit in the run in for both the PL and CL. This going to take not only luck but canny wise management as well.

Game on and what a time to be a Red:cool:

Some time back, I wrote that just 1 injury will derail MC and it's an injury to Ederson. MC don't have strength in depth in this department. Without Ederson, they cannot even play out from the back. Ederson wasn't rested yesterday I feel. He took a big whack against AM and was clutching his shoulder from a strong challenge. Looks like a possible dislocated shoulder from initial replays. I think Ederson is at least nursing a muscle strain.

Without KDB, MC can still cope. Without Ederson, they will lose both the PL and the CL. The 1st goal Mane scored was the type of goal Karius conceded against RM. Self inflicted and super demoralising for the rest of the team.

No need to discuss injuries because we knew too well. Just flashback one season ago what happened to Liverpool when VVD, Matip and Gomez injured. Had to thank Rhys William and Nat Philips for keeping Liverpool in CL last season.

This season Klopp rotated alot and kept the players fresh. We had to thanked those 5 academy players who kept us in the League Cup.

Liverpool can go Top of the Premier League on Tuesday night, with a draw or win over Man Utd.

The Fabinho, Thiago, Keita midfield has only started twice: Benfica away and City on Saturday.

They helped produce two of the most devastating performances we’ve seen under Klopp.

Should be the go-to midfield whenever possible.

Klopp will join Paisley and Benitez as the manager to lead Liverpool into the League Cup Finals, FA Cup Finals and European Finals.

Klopp will play 8 finals within the span of 6 years.

Thiago is very important players for Cup competitions.

Naby had produced some of his most brilliant performances lately.

So impressed with Konate since he joined. Thrown into some big games this season but always delivers. Quick, physical, good on the ball. Completely unfazed & at ease. Has a bit of everything & still only 22.
