Liverpool started playing attacking football second half.

Diaz was brilliant sub introduced start of second half.

We be waiting in Paris.

Liverpool played every match possible in this 2021/22 campaign after reaching 3 cup finals.

He's amazing. Jota's starting spot is not very secure. We seemed to play better with Diaz, Mane (middle), Salah. The first goal really deflated Villareal. Letting Fabinho's goal in through the keeper's legs is simply demoralising. We managed to preserve Konate's record too. :p

Shocking first half but what a response from us.

The first half was horrendous for sure....but no panic. Get in at HT, regroup, settle, go back out and find a way.

This win was on Klopp together with Diaz a real difference maker:cool:

This is a seriously mature team...and found out even more about themselves last night. Probably learned more about themselves than if we had a comfortable 0-3 with zero pressure.

Just loving what this team has become...and I think the best is still to come.

A few other fabulous and tasty tidbits...

Just read that Jürgen Klopp is the first manager to ever make the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup finals in the same season:cool:

Villareal's stadium has an Anfield atmosphere. The fans are passionate and loud. The stadium feels very close to the pitch too. Can be quite intimidating for opposing teams. The stadium has a capacity of 23,500.

Here's the interesting part. Villareal is a eastern Spanish city with 50,577 people! :eek: If we include the on duty personnel, I think close half their population were at this morning's match.

Another interesting point some of the Villareal's fans queue outside the stadium to shake hands with Liverpool players and wished the players good luck at Paris.
