With Liverpool's strong attack and Benzema's lethal form, there will be goals in normal time. That said it could still go to ET and even Pens.

Think a lot depends on the selection, tactics and most importantly clinical finishing for Liverpool.

Interesting to see if Klopp goes with Matip or Konate pairing with Big Virg at the back. Vinicius Jnr is really fast and going to give Trent a very hard time, so Konate could possibly be more suited but overall experience goes with Matip.

Also does Klopp start with both Fab and Thiago in MF? If they are fully fit than both should start.

As for attack, does Klopp start with Diaz or Jota on the left together with Mane and Salah? Save Diaz to terrorise Madrid in the 2nd half? Or what about going the traditional route in the first half with Mane, Firmino and Salah and then unleash Diaz in the 2nd half maybe bringing on Jota later?

Hopefullly everything clicks for us, because if so i see us winning by at least 2 goals although i do see Madrid scoring in any event.

Really pumped up for this game, especially after hearing that both Fab and Thiago were back in full training over the last two days. They will be vital together with clinical finishing from our attack.

Not sure why there is a 15 minute delay. There is an online unconfirmed report saying there is a security risk as many fans without tickets forced their way into the stadium. Comments on facebook says 4 out of 5 Liverpool gates are closed. Tear gas has been used on our fans.

Game of fine margins thus far at HT.

Reds high press and possession but Madrid able to absorb pressure.

We had more shots at goal and quite good chances but Courtois on form.

Madrid had one chance and had the ball in the back of the net from who else but Benzema.

But VAR ruled no goal. Not sure why though, seems like Benzema ruled offside.

Going to be a grinding second half for Liverpool.

Hope Klopp can lift the side.

PS. Surprised Klopp went with Konate instead of Matip but so far Ibou has done well to contain Vini Jnr apart from that disallowed goal mix up with Alisson.

Well, it's back to the drawing board. Still a good season. We played every match possible. I hope we can start clearing off deadwood now.

Salah talking about his contract. Form drop like shit. Mane talking about his contract 2 days before the CL final. Fucking unnecessary. I don't want both of them to stay and then we endure another 12 months of distractions. Every week, the team focus will be if such players will be renewing their contracts. Why do we need such rubbish talk? F off if your heart is not with us. No player is bigger than the club.

Keita didn't take his chances tonight to impress too. We should not renew his contract.

Well, Real Madrid gk was the main reason they won. Prob, Liverpool would have thrash them if all chances converted. Good game for firmino & jota. Konate did well. Heads up, next season go for epl n champions league

Courtois made only 1 very good save from Mane in the 1st half, the rest were just normal saves imo. R.Mad is still a classy team n they're very difficult to beat.
Pool still no match for R.Mad n Pool's strikers were totally off form especially Salah. As the game progresses, I couldn't find anyone who is able to score for Pool.
End of the day is Real are deserving winners!

Gutted about the game, Courtois their GK man of the match - that says it all really.

We've still had a phenomenal season but devastated for Jurgen & his players....they couldn't have given more effort this season, they have been magnificent. Those efforts deserved to win this one but it just wasn't to be. Looked mentally as much as physically drained towards the end.

When the dust settles though, I do think we should be analyzing these types of games - very similar to the matches against Spurs, and the Chelsea final games.

We've scored a ton of goals this season and it sounds crazy but in some of these park the bus games we just need to be a little more clinical - I don't know what we need to do, maybe it's bringing in a more traditional CF who converts chances at a higher % relative to shots?Maybe we need to bring some more ball-playing midfielders like Thiago. I don't know?

Fair play to Madrid though. Beat PSG, Chelsea, City and us so they deserve it.

Oh yeah big shout out to Konate. He proved my doubts wrong. He was majestic in defence!

So disappointing but heads up, spirits up....we go again next season.

Time to take a nice break from football now:D

Actually think Courtois made at least another great save from Salah's superb curler in the 2nd half.

That said you are right, Madrid deserved to win it in the end.

Heartbreaks for The Mighty Reds, no shame for the loss, brought the game to RM and could had been a couple of goals up into the break. Truly their keeper kept them in the game...
