Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Just saw Sadio in a BM outfit so had to say a belated good bye!

Mane scored on his LFC EPL debut against Arsenal (what a goal) and his last EPL game against Wolves (after that exquisite thru-ball from Thiago). Of his 120 goals for LFC, I don't recall a single one from the penalty spot in regulation or extra time... the only penalties he scored were in shoot-outs (which don't count towards player's overall goal tallies), so ALL of his 120 goals for LFC were from open play. Thats incredible if true and I think it might just be!

The last time we lost a player of this world class calibre was Suarez, he left us in his prime. Sadio has given us his absolute best years and LFC having bought him for £34m are still selling him for a profit in spite of him being 30 years old and in the final year of his LFC contract. Unreal.

Mane has been brilliant for us, he's matched (and even bettered) Barnes' goal scoring record, he performed equally as well whether on the right or left and straight down the middle. He's always battled, never gave in to the challenge, never gave up, he's been a winner from the 1st day until the last. Gonna miss him. He's a legend.

All the best, Sadio:cool:

Not a bad thing. At least we get some return. Plus if he stays without signing a new contract, it will be a big distraction for our season ahead. Klopp will be asked for updates on Mo Salah's contract at each press conference. It already was a distraction last season.

Salah asking for £400k per week, I doubt Pool can afford to pay that kind of money.

Agree.

Anyway sooner or later we would need to get a replacement for Salah.

Klopp extending his contract was the most important thing for us as it means he wants to evolve and create a Liverpool 2.0 and this would inevitably mean replacing Mo sooner or later.

Naturally the big question is who do we get?

Uncertain but yet exciting times, guess to be expected when going through a transition.

FSG and Liverpool will not pay such salary.

Salah was a nobody when not playing for Liverpool. He asking too much and setting a precedence.

Sell him and get another striker.

I think Klopp already identified who to replace Salah. Just that will the player be as successful.

Any player will be successful playing for Liverpool.

FSG is spending money expanding the stadium. The expanded stand should be ready next season. An additional 7000 seats per match.

I find this Jude Bellingham transfer a joke too. We are going to spend the next year expressing our interest continually? Then by the end of next season, we have hardly any bargaining chips when we approach Dortmund. Surely they will ask for a sky high price and ( +50% because we kept saying we want him). And consider it from Dortmund's point of view... before each match, they are reminded one of their best players will be leaving. It's a distraction on their season too.

Where got teams do their transfer planning like that? So out in the open

Seems like Salah signed a new contract. Finally an end to this transfer saga. Let's focus on the new season. At least Salah will get a good mid-term break while the World Cup is on

Hopefully, some academy players can shine either on loan or in some games. Kelleher, chamberlain, Jones, Gomez deserve to play more games. With the World Cup at year end, some players might be more motivated than ever.

Mo Salah contract details revealed – “in excess of £350k per week”

Great that Salah commits new contract to 2025.

Richarlison: Tottenham complete £60m deal for Everton forward

Richarlison has completed his move from Everton to Tottenham in a £60m deal; Toffees were under pressure to meet Premier League Profit and Sustainability rules; Brazilian scored 10 PL goals last season; Richarlison signs five-year deal at Spurs to become club's fourth summer signing

Then Mane is too cheap to leave at £35m.

How can Richarlison worth so much in transfer fees? Then Darwin Nunnez transfer of £80m is worthy?

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

I must say that the news of Salah signing a new contract yesterday has given me the biggest lift since the CL final:cool:

This is really fantastic news and explains why we didn't look at Raphinha, Bowen, Gnabry or Saka.

I was happy with Nunez, but that was tempered with Mane going, plus it was still close to the final.

Must say I'm entirely of the view that the contract situation (plus the Afcon & WC disappointments) impacted Salah in the second half of last season, when he was pretty dire at times. But with this lift off his shoulders, plus a mid-season break for the WC, I think we'll see an entire season's worth of the form he showed in the first half of last season;)

Also as much as I did not like his negotiation antics(his agent is his responsibility), he is still by far the best BEST RF in a 433 system in the world. It gives us mega options in playing 433 as well as 4231 systems. Both systems Klopp excelled in.

No excuses now....its the PL or bust:D

Very happy with this. Well done Julian Ward and FSG. Well done Mo. Absolutely buzzing:)

I think this is more media hyped.

As for Bellingham himself, think the apparent price Dortmund is looking for is abit on the over value high side.

Rather go for say Gavi or Barella at possibily a lower price.

The one that I am truly looking forward to seeing is Carvalho. Hoping he has a very good pre-season under Klopp's guidance which could turn into a great debut first season for us!

Next would be Elliott, followed by Keita and then Curtis.

Naturally i would i also like to see Darwin have a booming debut first season as well!
