Gone are the days where success of the club are through grooming academy players. Now its plug and play by getting in key players.

Liverpool set for "monstrous takeover" bid from Qatar in February

Still half a season to go, just hope from this point they start to buck up if not can kiss their chances of CL good bye and chances of key players coming to join will be gone. Even UEFA cup also very slim if they keep this up.

Why should Klopp step down? He is the best coach and he will turn Liverpool around just like 2015.

All Liverpool need is to change some old lazy players.

If the Qatar group will to buy LFC then good chance there will be huge summer budget to buy players. FSG cash out and gone will be good for LFC.

CL or Europa aside, LFC need to reinvent.

Not much to differentiate the team.

I say 0-1

Juventus docked 15 points for transfer deals

I hope EPL and La Liga also do similar and take action against those clubs.

Need to level the playing field.

Pool has deteriorated so much this season, performance against Chelsea was so scrappy that they never looked like winning the match. There's no chance Pool will be able to bounce back after watching today's match. The team seriously needs a major revamp.
Simply can't believed that the Pool / Chelsea match today was a mid table clash for both teams!

Looked like a typical mid table clash, lack of quality on both sides.

Oh well, we didn't lose.

We saw in 5-10 minutes at the start of the 2nd half where we had some sort of intensity we looked like scoring.

In the past few years we were able to have that intensity all game, game after game. We managed less than 10 minutes and couldn’t sustain it. This team is done. Physically this group can no longer do it.

This is probably the most deflated I've felt about a Liverpool side since Hodgson's time.

Oh yeah, never seen this lad Mudryk till now, must say i am impressed, no wonder there was a lot of buzz around him over the last few weeks.

.

Arsenal did very well and guess what no big stars in the team but still winning.

I do agree with Thiago that last year run of 4 cups took a big stress out of players and drained the players.

Gunners have created big stars of their own this season...young ones at that...kudos to Arteta...no more the cone man from City...he has come out of Pep's shadow

Gutted to say this but ETH is also doing a great job as well turning United around

As for what Thiago said, i am tired of listening to these type of excuses....the players are still drawing huge obscene salaries...unacceptable

The difference between the Arsenal v United game and Liverpool v Chelsea over the weekend was so stark...true title contenders with a great future ahead compared to mediocre mid table rubbish

Very sad, the tables have now turned, both Chelsea and Liverpool are now the banter joke teams.

Understand yr feelings bro ...it looks like Chelsea has strengthened themselves considerably by the almost daily signings Boehly their owner made in this January transfer window after spending over 400 £ or € n they shd be in or ard top 4 by end of this season esp with the capture of this exciting n fast running new Ukrainian striker Mudryk..envisage them moving up the ladder fast

if this guy had not been taken by Chelsea from Arsenal from under their noses n signed for Arsenal as originally intended, Arsenal would definitely win the EPL this yr without a doubt...as for Pool to move upwards, it all depends on how fast the injured players can come back to play n also how Klopp motivates, handles or uses the rest of his available men esp his 2 new signings Darwin n Gakpo ..

it's half way thru' the season n there is still hope for the traditional big 6 teams to win the league or be in top 4 to qualify for next season's European competition if their managers can lead their players to play with gusto to win in every match e.g Mudryk etc, etc...not easy but time will eventually tell

Hate to say it but ETH has really done a very good job thus far for you'll bro

He managed to get rid of the biggest problem, cr7, and also benched Maguire...also got the likes of Rashford, Fred, Shaw, AWB etc. playing the best football they have played in a while...seems to be getting it right tactically as well...if you'll had Casemiro i sense a draw would have been the more likely result....that said i also think ETH got it a bit wrong in 2nd half and should have brought on subs like Garnacho and Pellistri early to stop the immense pressure from Arsenal

As for Arsenal...regardless of Mudryk, and he seems very good btw, i think the Gunners have a very good chance of winning the league this season...Arteta has really groomed them well as a whole unit and everything seems to be coming to fruition for them at the moment...i thought with Jesus out they might have a problem but Nketiah just stepped up to the plate

On Chelsea...Mudryk seems very good...but i sense Chelsea have just been buying left right and centre without any big game plan....very much doubt they can get top 4 this season

Pains me to say this but the same applies to Liverpool...the Reds just dont seem to have what it takes to get top 4 this season...they are well and truly in the mud...i now really fear our CL tie with Madrid coming up soon...the summer transfer window is going to be immense in Liverpool's effort to try and rebuild a new team capable of challenging for the title or at least getting top 4 next season

Hope i am proven wrong but my guess is that Arsenal shall probably win the EPL this season, City 2nd, United 3rd and Newcastle 4th....just hope City dont win the CL, and this might make Pep walk away from the Etihad:D
