hello all dai gor, does anyone know whether the pubs at le thanh ton (japanese street) still operational? The last time i went it was pretty fun, i rmbr still got theme one sia, got school uniform and their traditional dress with the super long slit on both sides one. Can any laojiao help greenhorn xiaodi :)

Ton Duc Thang Museum
Being the first President of the Social Republic of Vietnam, Ton Duc Thang or Uncle Ton is also the first of the country to be awarded Lenin Peace Award as well as the only Vietnamese to engage in the anti-war activities of 1917.

Not really a big one, Ton Duc Thang museum has 8 display wards with artifacts and miniature that captured Ton Duc Thang’s life. Detailed record of his early upbringing, and his ongoing struggle for peace – the most significant phase in his life. Especially, “Con Son Pearl” Exhibition Room is where hell-on-Earth Con Dao Prison – in which he has spent 15 difficult years, is illustrated.

The Vietnam People's Air Force Museum, Saigon or Bảo Tàng Phòng Không - Không Quân is located on Duong Thang Long (Thang Long Street) in the Phuong 4 District of Ho Chi Minh City

The museum tells the history of the Vietnam People's Air Force (VPAF) in the Second Indochina War and the Cambodian-Vietnamese War. The museum comprises one main building with a small display of uniforms and flightsuits, aircraft weaponry and engines.

How to get there:
You leave the airport towards city center and after around 500m, at the first traffic light, you turn right. The museum is at the next intersection on the right, opposite side

I went to this ktv around town area and its not the Havelock standard. Bring out also 200 sgd and may not be able to bring out somemore, depending on kc with the vb.

Worse is the one around orchard, bring out just for one shot already 500 sgd. :eek: And, the vb told is "short time" only. If you can get 500 overnite, its relatively "cheap" compared to the one from orchard. Somemore, I had her number and I checked with her direct. Pain siah.

There is too much inflation. Like what you said, likely due to market spoilt by some....

Was at HCMC this past week, the goldsmith shop opposite CBT offered 15,830. I changed on Thurs morning.

Hi H88! Remb me? Yeah..the rates are bad as USD strengthening and SGD weaken purposely by MAS in anticipation of weak economy when US Federal Bank MIGHT raise its interest rates.

really the impact is not obvious...just that foreigners from Asean will spend lesser or go less frequent...the Vietnamese will not face severe difference...unless they rely on foreigners biz...those who spend USD will not be any difference...:)

I had spend lesser on tips and to me no difference...instead of giving 50k tips...either i give lesser or no tips...so the amount I spend remains the same...only those who have fixed monthly maintenance to give gf/bx will feel the weakening SGD...:)

Last Saturday 7 Feb, experience first time Cong An came to inspect the hotel room around 1am...checking on how many in the hotel rooms and if any unregistered gal in the room...looking for lixi...:)

since I am sleeping alone nothing to worry and bother...also never pay any lixi or angpow money...continue to sleep...:)
