when the penalty was awarded, i thought not again...though it was not the fault of Caraggher, the ball just happened to come his way..

Then came our supreme skipper - Steven Gerrard with his fantastic n beautiful free-kick..for the winner.

Torres is good, blend in well with the team, very energetic and have the striker's instinct.
Babel came as an 2nd Half substitute, but was really impressed by him. He should have a couple...

A perfect start,a game we would have drawn like we did last season,with CL qualifier in mind. I won't get too carried away as we still lack the ability to kill off a game like this quickly,but watching us approach the very first away game with attacking minds really made me excited. Torres & Babel were pleasures to watch, bring on Chelski !

But that isn't a TOP TOP goal, it's only WORLD-CLASS one, & no goalie could save that. :p Let's hope that also the start of many Stevie G goals this season too...

I also liked the pace and movement of Torres, he really seems to be able to bring the whole team into play, very intelligent and able to create space for himself too. Don't think it'll be long before he nets his first epl goal. Babel looks very exciting too, someone who won't hesitate taking shots...What a waste his right-footed shot was well-saved...

Bring Moaner's boys on! :D

As Liverpool fans,we should support all our players,of course not someone like Diouf.
Kuyt did form a very powerful partnership with Torres, didn't you watch him play a major part in getting the first goal for us ?

judging from last nights' performance, i reckon the 2-1 victory was somewhat encouraging. i do agree that kuyt wasnt playing up to expectations - he's more of an opportunist than a poacher.

i guess rafa's still doing a little mix & match for the striker partnership for now. i do hope there'd be more goals coming from the midfielders too. Gerrard's late winner was quite a pleasent surprise... :p

I don't like the way I play too, but what to do? Boss instructions for me to create decoy for Torres.

As for performing, maybe u teach me ? With that sexy body of yours I'm sure I can be a fast learner to "perform" to your liking :)

But credit for Kuyt.. Most players would have settled for a corner at such situation..

His quick thinking and reaction made the own goal possible...

But I still feel 2nd half performance was not up to standard...
I put it as 1st game of the season so abit rusty..

Hopefully things get better real fast cause I cant wait to see the team fulfil it maximum potiential!

Can lar, if they make the goalpost 1mm smaller and lower lor...sorry just joking....but the goal is real gem, it just dip into the goal under the post,

really love the way they storm back immeadiately after villa score, guess they got more steel now...well hope they can kill of the coming 2 games earlier.
