5 international match ban with $20k fine. Will not affect our matches. In fact, he will be resting during the next 2 international games window I suppose. Good for us

Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili signs on for £25m

The Georgia international will remain with the LaLiga club until next summer

Looks like a long term succession/replacement

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Juventus forward Frederico Chiesa

LFC will pay their Serie A counterparts £10 million, with a further £2.5 million in add ons based on team performance

Gamble for sure as he has had injuries and fitness issues but at this reasonable price a low risk i guess. Wages will be interesting though. Not been the same player since his ACL injury but maybe he can find his form again at Liverpool

Feels a lot like Thiago. Hopefully not.

Read it's £80k per week. Probably with performance and appearance bonus.

Our squad has little strength in depth. It's a long season. Given that he's the only player we signed for this season (goalkeeper is for future seasons), we can't complain right? Better half fit than not having enough players.

Sigh. So many youngsters meant to blossom over the years have left the club. Otherwise given our squad depth, they will be given chances.

Maybe the club is saving the transfer budget for next season when we need to replace VVD, Salah, TAA and Robertson. Allison's replacement has been signed.

Off-topic - I was grinning left to right after reading Sterling misery in Chelsea.

This chap deserved it and the way he treated Liverpool in the past.

I can assure you that this format may not last 1 to 2 years and maybe revamped again?

This UEFA is bongus.

Not sure about that. The truth is this format allows for 36 teams instead of 32 teams. Meaning more matches and more revenue for UEFA. Can't squeeze in more teams due to fixture congestion.

About 36 hours left till the transfer window closes. Let's see how silly season pans out.
