End up pep lijnders's boss is still Jurgen Klopp. Plus Bajcetic is there on loan at Red Bull Salzburg. Hopefully this means we get first mover advantage on any upcoming young talent in the Red Bull teams

Don't understand how things are done in Germany but it will make Klopp an unpopular German team manager should he ever qualify for the role.

Just a random thought, should TAA leave us after this season, perhaps we go sign Neco Williams. He is only 23 and has 66 Premier League games so far. Quite experienced for such a young guy. Will be helpful on the home grown quota too.

He is good enough to play for us. His style is closer to Steve Finnan. His age is close to TAA. Given the view then that TAA will be out starting rightback for the foreseeable future, Neco Williams left for regular games and to fight for his international place. Their age gap is too close. Plus Klopp tends to play Joe Gomez as right back whenever TAA needs a rest.

Good result. There is a small gap between the top 2 and the rest now. Arsenal's best defender will be suspended for our game against them.

Unconfirmed reports say TAA rejected a contract extension at £280k per week. Likely to lose him to Real Madrid. RM lost their rightback to a long term injury. Likely to test us with a bid for TAA in January.

Very pleased with the result

Congrats to Jones - quite the week for him! I'm sooo happy for him to get the winner. That'll be big for him. Thought he had a very solid game even if you take the goal away. Another couple of games like this and he should be in there ahead of Dom. He's not perfect and has some faults but if he can replicate his last night's game then it's good enough for now.

Also Mo's support play was off the scale. Absolutely fantastic!

That said, thought we were very frustrating to watch and were incredibly rusty. It's fair to say we are awful after international breaks

The main thing is that we found a way to get over the line and that's all that matters for this game. Chelsea are a tough opponent but we managed to hold them off, just. Think Maresca is doing a pretty good job there to be fair.

21 points out of 24 points, can't ask for more, Slot is doing a superb job thus far.

A trip to Germany followed by a trip to Arsenal. Time to rotate.

We have to be careful with this Arsenal side. They play damn dirty football. Players will stand in front of the goalkeeper during a corner to block the keeper from trying to come out to catch/punch the ball. That's how they scored against Man City. Ref and VAR sleeping

Yes the recent results really pleasant surprise. Especially when we only signed 1 player who was injured and is currently injured too. Hope he isn't the new Thiago/Keita. Normally new manager needs more time to impose his style.

I think Slot doesn't trust Quansah and Endo though. He will have to play both of them during the league cup. No other academy player coming through also.

Arsenal is playing mind games already. Saying this and that player is injured and unlikely to play. Well.. dirty sides play dirty games. Normally won't associate Arsenal to dirty tactics. Wenger is a classy manager. Arteta uses all kinds of dirty tricks
