Typical post-break performance.

Lads running into each other at times, spacing and positioning off, sloppy on and off the ball

Three points earned against a desperate side, but it wasn't fun to watch, save for Salah ripping off his shirt after scoring the winner:D

Liverpool usually don't play well after the internation break . We bite the bullets and get the 3 points needed

Guys, what do you think of Andy Robertson's recent performances? Final season with us? He is looking increasingly leggy and his international schedule is fully packed. Aging body needs more time to recover.

Konate's defending at times is basically pushing people off without playing the ball. :p

Yes he is under performing due to age and injury issue however i will still want to see him stay with us to guide the young player till retirement
maybe Slot can consider him to join the coaching staff

Off hand I can't think of any up and coming left sided young player. I know the right side has Conor Bradley. Left side 2nd choice is soon to be 29 year old Kostas Tsimikas.

Waiting to see who we sign in the winter transfer window. If we sign a striker such as the Egyptian Omar Marmoush, basically it means we will not be extending Salah's contract. Six strikers fighting for 3 spots is too many right? Salah came out today to say he hasn't been offered any contract extension.

We does have young player - Luke Chamber and Owen Bak . Luke Chamber a talented left back now on loan to Wigan . Believe Slot can recall him back if needed

Kostas Tsimikas has turned his ankle in training and will face a short spell on the sidelines.

Perhaps Joe Gomez can step in?

With regards the Mo Salah contract situation, at best it’s a very unwelcome distraction when we are trying to win the Barclays English Premier Division title 2024/25.

Personally I couldn't care less if every player in the squad leaves next June once we've held the Barclays English Premier Division title trophy aloft next May.

Just win the PL and they can all **** off if they want to.

Finally i need to say something about Darwin Nunez. As much as I love him, think he needs to go. Replacement should be someone like Gyökeres.

His transfer fee was £85 million pounds right? Plus a high weekly wage. Liverpool's stingy owners will find it hard to suffer a big loss by selling him.

Just saw highlight of the Man City - Feyernood match. Man City played well and were leading 3-0 until the 74th minute. Pep Guardiola even made substitution with the weekend match against us in mind. Then their defence went crazy and conceded loose goals. Man City is in danger of not qualifying for the next CL stage

The strategy against Man City is always the same. Don't sit back and played the counter attack game. Play an open fast paced game. Man City doesn't do well when consistently attacked. Their strikers don't help out in defence. By playing an open game, we will shag out their midfielders and defenders by the 65th min. Then mistakes will come when tired bodies and minds cannot react in time.

Real Madrid may have realised they are trying to sign the wrong Liverpool rightback. The way Conor Bradley is playing lowers the need to offer a big contract renewal for TAA.

The way we are playing.. we will be super super ready for Man City.

Yes true is enough however I am abit worried for Conor Bradley . Heard he had a hamstring issue towards end of the game . Not sure if this gonna keep him out against the next game vs Man City

Agree with you. Trent trying to talk big about his contract can go. Let's cash in.

As for Salah, I think if he wanted big amount to stay and need long contract then can also go.

I think Darwin can stay since he is giving opponent team a headache trying to guard him. He is a handful and will score crucial goals.

Beating RM 2-0 is a great result and maintained out top of the table.

Liverpool top of CL and PL table was wow wow wow. :D:D:D

Looks like a tweak which will keep him out vs Man City. A hamstring tear will be many weeks of rest. I think that's why Liverpool used Gomez to replace him instead of TAA. Probably to give TAA a few more days of rest before the Man City match.

Conor Bradley almost scored too with a free header but he directed it towards Courtois. He reminds me of Jon Flanagan and we need to protect him to ensure a different outcome. He retired at 29 years old.

Darwin is quite an unique player. We don't really know what to do with him. His output as a striker (goals/assist) isn't that great for a $85 million pounds striker. However, opposition sides also don't really know how to stop him either. He's tall, pacy and unpredictable. The opposition fans can only sing songs about him being a shite Andy Caroll. :D

Sigh, Andy Robertson concedes another penalty. I do think we need a replacement. Someone young, a left sided Conor Bradley. Youngster Owen Beck's contract expires in june 2025. All said and done, Andy Robertson is the best leftback we had for easily the last 20 years. Previously we had Riise, Aurelio, Enrique, Djimi Traore, Milner, Moreno, Stephen Warnock.

Robbo played too many matches for International and club. Also getting old. Luckily Tsimikas can replace him but gets injured.

Not easy to get a cheap and good left back like him.

BTW, should take Salah of penalty due to contract.

I see the replay seems like Robbo did not had a closed contact so to me it is a dive but i agree Robbo had too many international game . He is that kind of player will give his 100% when on the pitch

This season thus far, P19 , W17, L1, D1

Slot machine continues to find fresh gears!

It's beginning to look aSLOT like Christmas:D

Finally a win against the great Madrid after 8 losses including 2 CL Finals and deservedly so as the Reds played very well last night:cool:

Young Connor Bradley had the great Mbappe in his pocket, I mean just go look at that world class tackle against Mbappe in the first half, just shut down Mbappe after that

Young Curtis Jones was also in very good form

Alexis Mac Allister was flying

Caoimhin Kelleher was excellent

and the list goes on...

Oh and what's so great about Jude Bellingham?!

That said think us Reds fans need to hold back a bit as we still have not played any team currently above us in both the CL and EPL tables:rolleyes::p

Fingers crossed both Connor Bradley & Ibrahima Konaté are not badly injured

We move on to City over the weekend
