Chelsea lost was great news. MC draw. MU lost.

Chelsea's loss is not just great news. It's how they lose that's amazing. Mentally to concede 2 swift late goals is devastating.

I find it difficult to watch this morning's match. The fog was crazy. At 1 stage, I was watching clouds move through parts of the field. Not easy to track the movement of the ball for guys with eyesight issue like me.

Arsenal is up next. As for Man U, someone said Man U will be in the relegation zone by end of Jan (after analysing the upcoming fixtures). Actually I no longer care about their results. The rivalry between these 2 teams are not like in the 1992 to 2013. Not many people wear Man U jerseys on the streets anymore too. I just wish to support my team Liverpool.

This is apparently a big deal. Salah posts a family photo celebrating Christmas. Many Muslim fans protested. Salah supporters sigh while rival fans cheer. The superstitious view is that his form tend to drop after posting a family christmas photo.

But he scored an amazing goal this morning. Not sure how he squeezed in our 3rd goal. It's amazing

Suspect his form will drop after this season or after next season if he renew
That is the reason why club did not offer him 3 years contract

A trip to London to play the improving Hammers tomorrow, every game a must win now and this could be tricky.

Just win.

The more games we win the more pressure on the chasing pack not to slip up. All the chasing pack (Arsenal, Chelsea & Forest) have dropped points in eight games this season.

City have won the league dropping points in 10 games overall, so the margin for error for those teams is so small & gets smaller every time we post three points.

Our away games after this one looks tricky on paper, so we need to post up now - if we are decent defensively we win this.

Oh yeah love the way Slot has been talking about our title challenge thus far, cool calm collected and humble. Take each game as it comes.

as a liverpool fan for 30 years, to finally see the downfall of manu really puts a smile to my face.

Doesn't make sense to give 3 year contract. He will also be away for AFCON duty in December 2025 to Jan 2026. I feel he needs a new contract with us more than we need him. If he is interested in money, he would have left for Saudi much earlier. We rejected the £150 million pounds offer too.

Salah wants to cement his legacy and he needs 1-2 more seasons to improve his goals scored and goals assisted total tally. He has as many assists as David Beckham now.

I understand what you mean. Especially satisfying to see arrogant friends eating humble pie and finally declaring they had stopped supporting Man U. But the decline has been on-going for more than a decade since SAF retired. Nothing new. They lost 4 out of their last 5 matches.

We definitely escaped from a landmine here. Have to be careful in handling out big contracts. I don't mind seeing TAA leave. No way is he worth £350k per week when Conor Bradley can perform better if not as well.

Finally TAA will leave to join RM.

Good that he made his choice and Liverpool can proceed with their own plans with replacement.

Yes, we don't need the drama. His offensive skills make up for his defensive fragility. But Slot doesn't play as aggressively so his defensive fragility becomes more obvious. Conor Bradley brings more stability to the side. Slot prefers a more Steve Finnan/Nathaniel Clyne rightback.

Owen left us for £8m and got sold to Newcastle for £16.8m a year later. RM recouped back all expenses plus made a profit. Whatever offers RM is giving him, they will earn it back in future transfer fee if he flops in Spain. We can't match these financial numbers because we will find it hard to sell a performing Scouser.

Comprehensive victory!

5 goals, 0 goals conceded, no yellow cards, 3 points.

Only negative is Gomez’s injury. Just hope it isn’t too serious, and it was more a precautionary sub to avoid more serious consequences.

Salah is beyond words! Probably his best season for us.

Aside from Salah being Salah, I thought Mac Allister was fantastic and I thought Endo was very good when he got on the pitch. Great to see our other forwards scoring as well.

Life is great atm. Fab way to end 2024 as a Reds fan. Roll on United. I cannot wait!

Thinking aloud from Liverpool's top management team angle... they believe they have a good squad of players that are underperforming due to ineffective management from middle level managers. So what they did was to change the middle level management team when their head of department retired.

Without employing any new lowest level staff, the new team of middle level managers has managed to extract better performance from old staff on an individual and team level. I mean if I were a top level corporate staff, this is how I will assess our season thus far. Change can be beneficial.

What a fantastic cake Slot has made from the ingredients Klopp left him:D

It is like Klopp made the perfect F1 car and Liverpool hired Prime Hamilton in Slot to drive it:p
