Easy win but no clean sheet.

Important 3 points.

Another good day at the office:)

Crappy goal to concede though. I think that is the reason Slot is reluctant to start Elliott, because you lose height in both boxes. You learn from your mistakes. That will be the last time Elliott is asked to pick up a big lad at a corner.

Also seriously, what does Salah have to do to be subbed off? Surely Chiesa could have been given at least 20 mins on the right last night.

Damn shame Wolves couldn't hold out the Gunners. Our next two league games are ******* huge. The two cup games we play in between them pale in comparison and one of them is a semifinal:rolleyes::D

Onwards we march:cool:

Watched the first half, closed my eyes during the half time break, ended up slept through the second half with the tv on. Knn... woke up to turn off the tv and check the final score on the PL app. Age is catching up... even for 11 pm kick offs. At least I saw three goals

Liverpool squad for UCL PSV match: Endo, Nunez, Chiesa, Gakpo, Elliott, Tsimikas, Robertson, Kone-Doherty, Mabaya, McConnell, Jaros, Kelleher, Nallo, Morrison, Danns, Norris, Quansah, Morton, Bradley, Davies, Nyoni.

No Alisson - No TAA - No VVD - No Konate - No Szoboszlai - No Gravenberch - No MacAlister - No Salah - No Diaz

All eyes on Bournemouth PL match over the weekend and rightly so. Especially as they have a week to prepare for the game.

I am excited to see how this revamped team will perform. I hope we will not be fined for sending out a weakened team though.

For those guys who bet on a Liverpool victory, I wonder how they feel about this team. Will you still take Liverpool and give out half/one/one and a half ball?

The kid Nallo was substituted on in the 83th min and sent off on the 87th minute. Generally the kids give a good account of themselves. Outplayed but never stopped trying. Chiesa seemed like he is not far from the fitness he needs to play a full match.

We still finished top of the league. Our future opponent will be one of these teams (Monaco, Brest, PSG or Benfica). These 4 teams will move to 2 knockout matches. The 2 knockout match winners will play either Liverpool or Barcelona. More details will come out after the draw next week.

Yes, good to lose this unimportant gane.

Very happy that Slot rested 9 main players without flying.

Job done.

The playoffs teams looked dangerous with RM, BM, MC, etc.

We played both our left back though. Robertson was our left centreback for 63 mins (i think). Tsimikas played the full match. So leftback will not be as fresh against Brentford.

We won't meet Real Madrid, Man City or Bayern Munich in the next round. Hope to meet PSV again in a future round. Their team is not impressive

Well, see who we get for the champions league

Then, hope can win the premier league

Thought it was a strange game. Our defending seemed flaky and there was a definite feel of men v boys.

Of the young players only McConnell really impressed. Quansah is beginning to worry me, he might not be all that.

Chiesa is looking good and survived a full 90 mins!

There is still a slight negative though if we get drawn against PSG in the next round. Had we not lost, then I think that would have been avoided (because PSG would have been above PSV).

Anyways, as for who we draw who cares, you have to beat the best at some point and the second legs are all at home anyway

Most importantly we need them precious 3 points against Bournemouth tomorrow.

We rested about 9 regular starters for the match against PSV in order to prepare for this weekend's away match to Bournemouth. Cannot think of how much better we can prepare for this match.

This weekend is a crucial weekend in the fight for the league title. If we can win and if Arsenal dropped points in their match against Man City, I think Arsenal will implode mentally. Their fans are very demanding on Arteta because he has been building his squad for 5 years.

Sadly, things didn't go according to plan. Nunez was supposed to start upfront with Elliot in midfield and Endo in left centreback. Nunez travelled and fell sick so Elliot started in attack and Endo was pushed up to midfield. We started Robertson in left centreback (which i think is a position he has never played for us)

So if we had gone with the original lineup, I think PSV will find it hard to cope with Nunez's pace and power because PSV doesn't park the bus/ play with the low block.

I am doing some research on Chiesa. Will share something interesting tomorrow.

Seems like Jota, Nunez and Gomez are back in training. Our squad is nearing full strength with Curtis Jones the only player out injured.

Meanwhile, Thiago magically drew Man City to face Real Madrid in the 2 knockout matches. Man City will face Arsenal, Real Madrid, Newcastle, Real Madrid (away 20th Feb) , Liverpool (24th Feb at Man City) and Spurs this month.

We have 7 days of rest before our away match at Man City
