Starting tomorrow at Aston Villa.
Sunday or Monday morning at Man City.
Then finally home to Newcastle.

Champions League wise. We will face Benfica or PSG (highly likely to qualify). Will know on Friday.

As for Aston Villa tomorrow morning, they have injuries defensively. They also sold one of their top strikers to Saudi Arabia. Ended up loaning Marcus Rashford who seemed out of shape.

Mentally we should be ok. We have experienced players that won CL and PL. I checked our 2019/2020 squad. Alison, TAA, Robertson, VVD, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliot and Salah are still around from that team. This group of leaders will help to calm nerves. Amongst our newer recruits, we have Mcallister who had won the World Cup too. We should be ok.

It's easier to not lose 7 points than to need to be perfect for the remaining 13 matches. Arsenal knows they cannot drop points. If they go 1-0 down in a match, they know they need 2 goals. If they press for 2 goals and leave gaps at the back, they know they need to score at least 3 goals if they concede another goal because anything lesser may widen the gap. Mentally that can be a killer.

Rumours about next season's jerseys. I remember one of us has links to the manufacturers in China? Can confirm if these rumours are true? A pink goalkeeper jersey will be quite popular with the ladies i think

I take the point at Villa Park.

Never easy going to Villa Park to win.

Wah lao i don't understand why they don't sell nunez sia. He could be the one that cost us the title.

In fact besides Salah, our strikers are not scoring enough goals.

Actually I feel Slot is trying to help Jota regain his match sharpness. Only Jota and Salah can come up with something unexpected out of nothing. Jota will get better but he can only play for 60 minutes to prevent injury.

Nunez wasn't sold in Jan to Saudi Arabia because there is no guarantee the club will buy a replacement. If we had sold him in Jan window, the club can still say wait till end of season then replace. Because Jan window transfers tend to be more expensive.

We were challenging for the quadruple last season. When all is going well, Klopp announced he will leave. His team left with him and we are still paying the price. Because the scouting department changed, we only bought Chiesa and a goalkeeper for next season. We didn't replace Matip. Now with Gomez and Bradley out, we are short of cover for centreback and rightback. Slot says TAA can only play 60 mins per game for now.

Watching the match last night, we had chances to win it. Nunez wasted the best chances. To be fair, we had even more chances of losing the match than winning it . Slot needs to rotate more. Start Endo alongside Gravenbech. This morning we played 4-4-2 at times. Anyway, Haaland was rested in last night's CL match where Man City is knocked out. Probably to rest his injured leg for this weekend's match against us

This has been coming. Same as last year. We get to this point in the season and run out of gas.

Unless something dramatically changes I can see Arsenal catching us by end of next weekend if the Gooners take their chances.

It is what it is but harsh reality of it is we have used pretty much the same 11 players all season. And whilst Mo's return is phenomenal the downside to having him in the team is the other players have to work extra hard to deliver the contributions elsewhere on the pitch. It's one of the reasons why RB often looks so exposed and why we have lost Gravenberch from the central areas when teams are attacking. Mo doesn't really track back and others have to pick up the slack. Again it is what it is.

We have had 2 pivotal moments in the last 7 days and come down on the wrong side of both. The Derby last minute and Nunez's chance yesterday. Handled either of those better and we are having a different perspective even if largely the above issues remain.

The team is exhausted and other teams know it. Start of the season we were good for 45 then great in 2nd 45. Now we are good for 45 and knackered for the 2nd. We had to dig deep last night just to get a draw. Can't have many of them left.

Defence seems to take 5/10 minute holidays in games now too where they just completely forget what they are supposed to be doing. Can only put that down to fatigue also but at certain points last night defensively we looked a shambles.

Not sure what happened with Jones. Looked really sharp for 20 minutes then disappeared. Wonder if he got a knock when he did that great turn and pass in first half. Hmm?? Losing Conor is not good and unfortunately we did not have Gakpo when we really needed him.

Anyway it is what it is but City have rested half their team last night and look a different beast even if Madrid did wallop them. Anything less than win at City and we will be staring down barrel. Just not sure the lads have it in them anymore. Very much hope i am proven wrong.

Let's see

YNWA

What a difference a good night's sleep makes:o

Because this is how I now feel (below), which is a totally positive take compared to my totally negative take yesterday:rolleyes::D

So apparently the sky is falling...

Even though we're 8 (at worst 5) points clear.

Even though we're nearly done with most of the most difficult fixtures we'll have in the PL.

Even though we're being "chased" by a limping Arsenal side who are pinning all their hopes on a player most of us had barely heard of last week.

Even though we're not losing matches.

Even though we're still scoring goals (yes, we're being wasteful, yes we're missing chances, but we are also scoring).

And even though despite an indifferent run of form, we've maintained our lead for months (we were five points ahead in December and we're still at least that now).

It's not going to be one of those title runs where two sides put together a long run of victories in the final weeks, it's one of those where everyone's dropping points all over the place. Twists and turns, rollercoaster ride, like what VVD said recently. This is the PL the year Leicester won it, not the PL we've been fighting City for.

Not sure how I shall be feeling on Monday though:p

At the start of season I had no expectation and also predicted Liverpool will miss the cL next season.

So to me 8 points on top of PL table is already very good with 12 matches to go.

I only hope we win but nothing much we can do.

I am sure there will be twist and turn in this remaining matches.

It is Arne Slot first season in the EPL afterall. Probably underestimated how intensive the EPL is. Not a good idea to play the same players so often as injuries may occur. I hope he uses Tsimikas, Kelleher, Quansah, Elliot and Endo more often. Even Chiesa may be an upgrade on Diaz these days. Give some players a rest.

Not having high hopes on the away match against Man City.
