Tq for the tips. Will look up in Agoda and do u know roughly how much it costs? This trip most prolly will be in HCM minimum till 3/5 coz my booking of hotel is already till 3/5 but I think will be there longer maybe till around 10/5 if we were to go to Dalat. This trip won't be going to Vung Tau unless I'm going to The Grand for a day trip. Gf says there's a VIP bus service to Dalat maybe we'll take the coach there but didn't know it'll take 9-10 freaking hrs to get there. Going shud be ok since take night bus but coming back....... ZzzzzZzzzz...

For Emeraude u can check prices online. My bookings were done for me so I have no idea on costs. If u can take the front room (at the front of the ship), the view is lovely as u see what the captain sees at the bow. It is also cordoned off so the deck is all yours and other passengers cannot come in.

For Dalat, u can take Sinh Tourist bus from De Tham St (popular with backpackers with English speaking staffs) or Phuong Tran (newer buses and more frequency). But PT bus terminal is outside the city and nobody speaks English. I never advise anyone to take the night bus as there have been a few accidents when tourists are killed when the driver falls asleep and the bus ends up in a ravine. Just take the first bus out.. usually 8am or 9am.

Phuong Trang bus to Da Lat is at De Tham St Pham Ngu Lao D1...only the Southern route Ben Xe Mien Tay is at District Binh Tan...but have free shuttle takes you there from Le Hong Hong D5...I am a happy client for Phuong Trang...they are king of the roads...:)

Oh my bad... now that u mentioned... yes... for Dalat (Muine, Nha Trang etc) both Sinh Tourist and PT get up at De Tham... they are just 2 or 3 shoplots apart. I like PT, too, cos no tourists and sometimes sit beside dep gai can tcss all the way.... :p

I think those are meant for domestic market, unless u speak vn or have a local guide, it might be risky for u as a foreigner. It's a bit like ang mor going to geylang... not that it cannot be done... just that it would carry higher risks. Just my 2 cts.

Thanks for the advice, actually if u read the news link, it was stated that those cluster between district 1 & 3 are cater to foreigner. Though i am not really sure but anyway since i am there already, if have chance might well experience it, be it good or bad.:)

Haven't totally figured you out yet.
