Dear samsters, please note that the hydrofoil service from HCMC to Vung Tau has been suspended since January 2014. It seems that a fire broke out on a Vina Express boat. Luckily no passengers were hurt during the fire.

At the Bach Dang Wharf at HCMC, taxi drivers will now offer to drive you all the way to Vung Tau. They offered 4 of us a one-way trip costing 1.2 million VND to Vung Tau. Please do not take up this offer as there are cheaper alternative.
