I will be going to Balai with few friends for 2 days. I have not been there for ages. Any bros can recommend reasonable price hotel with breadfast and where to get cewek..and what price range..

The cost of a ferry and airplane ticket differs so much. Buy the tax for these two almost equal footing! Doesnt make sense!!! :mad:

Hi guys,

I've been to Tanjung Pinang twice but never heard of a place called Batu 4 but some guy suggested it on a different forum. So, anyone heard of it or know if its still operational? Also are there any other places in TP to pick up girls other than Batu 24?

U can go to batu 6,8 & 14.I tink still can find cewek there didnt go there very long liao.

Are there any hotels with a restaurant other than Rainbow that costs less than $40/night. Rainbow is a good hotel but the prices keep increasing and they say they don't standard rooms and the deluxe costs $50/night. But it is closer to Batu 24 and has hotel car service available. Any other hotel with similar facilities?

just to add, i got my own driver as well. so no worries if ppl wish to try for the first time. i am no old bird, but have been there a couple of times. =)

Hi bro

U can check this hotel name mutiarah lat time i used to stay there when i visit there.I go there almost every weekend but now stop,they are charging 20 to 30 but the room is normal.not like rainbow and it is near to all eating place like osaku.10min u will rch the jetty.also near to massage.all walking distance.the hotel ppl are very friendly u can ask for a big room i tink is 35.1 more thing that the place there are alot of chinese so u dun need to scared of being robbed.:cool:

Their standard/quality had dropped tremendously. Rms also not carpeted. I might as well try Top View near central or Royal Palace or Bintang View (the one facing the sea)

All Bros,

Thursday (10 Jan 08) is a public holiday in Batam and Indonesia.... information received from my driver is that on Wed (9 Jan 08) evening all pubs/discos are (likely to be forced to) closed and also Thursday (tomorrow) all the the joints will be closed.

anyone coming to Batam...please re-confirm your trip in advance before ending up disappointed....

Not sure about Bintan and Balai...cos never been there...maybe it's good to re-confirm also...;)

another news read from last night Shin Min....reported that the ferry price has gone up to SGD43 (two-way) instead of usual SGD34 or SGD35...

I'm not sure yet....will only able to check when back Sin this weekend...and will update everyone....

just called it is confirmed $43 to batu ampat.... it is almost like going to bangkok...(one way)

wonder, bros here will cut down the trips to batam.. good old days are over!!!!

It is 2 way for batam trip. Last I heard is due to the batam officals and custom who wanted the $$$.

Hi I'll be going to Batam on the 12th coming back on the 13th anyone interested? Btw I not pro in Batam very long time never go liao. If noobs or seniors wan to come along I'm ok with it more company better :p
