Agree totally with you. The thing with blackmail is that once you fall prey, it's a certainty that the party will continue to milk you and there will be no end. Can't stand a person who resorts to blackmail as it's effectively playing with your emotions and things can get really nasty if unchecked. I believe that one simple warning is enough and if the person does not heed your warning, then immediate action is required through appropriate channels to make it very clear that you mean business. Your seriousness in proceeding with stern action should go a long way in making the blackmailer wake up their ideas big time and let them know they cannot mess around with you.
