Had some lousy fish soup noodles at Prima Taste. The manager don't even know how to say "Prawn" in English and I had to help her explain the menu to 2 Lao Wai. Went to Boss Club along Jin Yu Hu Tong (Goldfish Hu Tong) behind Wang Fu Jing and beside Novotel. First time there. Looks small on the outside but quite a few KTV rooms inside. Deco and rooms not bad with plasma tv and good selection of songs. 200rmb for a small room. However, the girls suck. Settle for one chubby young girl. Sing a few songs, drink 2 beers, had some dried fruits and then no mood liao. Total damange 400rmb including 100rmb tips to girl.

Once I step out, there were tons of pimps outside. One followed me all the way. Price drop from 600rmb to 400rmb for a quickie. Can fark at the girl's house. A car with a few girls inside park beside us within minutes. Choose a Harerbin girl. Didn't want to bring girl back to apartment so settle for a small motel behind the Quan Ju De Peking duck restaurant. Farkup motel. Girl got figure but body like fark after strip. Lousy fark. Went home miserable........sianz :mad:

on the private leg of my trip, i went to Amethyst at Prime Hotel. very classy ktv and some of the mamis looked real good in executive wear :)

spent RMB2500 on room, fruits, fruit-gal, gal and mami (free-flow of local liquor). take-home was RMB2000 short-time, RMB3000 over-night. gal i had was great (most gals there minimum 8/10).

as i was alone, bore all the costs.

I tried the newly renovated Amethyst KTV at the bottom of Peninsula Hotel (王府饭店) last night. This is definitely one of the top contenders if you need to entertain important clients. There are only ten rooms, each with a different theme. Compared to its conditions pre-renovation, I am hugely impressed by both its interior designs as well as the quality of the mummies and waitresses.

Here are the important parts about the place:

(a) You are NOT obliged to tip the waitresses, mummies or GROs. The boss runs this place like a company and all waitresses, mummies or GROs are employees, with fixed salary per month. Very interesting concept. At least it saves you the trouble of having to draw sufficient cash just for tips.

(b) The place employs undergraduates who are studying in the Beijing Central University of Music and Arts (not sure if this is the correct name but it's that famous school which Zhang Ziyi graduated from) to perform the Pipa, Er-hu and Gu-zhen for you before the partying starts.

(c) You get GROs, or what they call "membership managers" to sit with you. They are HOT (or at least the ones that sat with us). They wear OL uniforms, which is very kinky to me. If you really want the usual dishes you get at other KTVs, the mummies can arrange to get you one. But, personally, I had more fun with the GROs because I believe they are chosen for their education qualifications (mine is studying finance in a university in Beijing and speaks above average English. She even explained to me the mergers and acquisition trends in China for this year!!!) and ability to engage clients.

(d) The waitresses are even hotter than the GROs. Really nothing to say here.

(e) This is not indicative but I paid slightly over RMB10,000 last night. This is because we bought a really expensive limited edition brandy. Otherwise, I should think on a normal night, you will pay slightly more than what you would be paying in a typical superior KTV because I'm sure the tips are built into the prices for the bottles.

I didn't ask the GROs whether they can be tabaoed so I don't know the price. But I will try to date my GRO (she called me already, hee hee) and let you bros know.
