woke up, and saw the goal, but the performance by the pool's players is totally unacceptable....they were just playing as if they are in a friendly game, no control, no pace. only when they concede the goal then up the pace, but by then its too late.

hopefully this will serve as a kick up their ass, its better to lost in CL then BPL. I rather they win the BPL this season then CL, cause our last league title was 17 seasons back.....sighz...with this kind of performance, not sure can they even beat spurs this sun.....

Something is really wrong....

We seem to lose focus in the few recent games...

If we lose despite playing well, no complains but.......

Totally unacceptable!

i watched the first half only, switching between the valencia and liverpool channels. the ref and linesmen in anfield were really crappy last night.

crouch was clearly pulled down in the penalty box but none of the refs saw it. almost immediately after that incident, marseille surged forward and scored a goal by ziani (i think) but ruled out for offside which is a very poor decision.

Liverpool 0: Marseille 1

I am in total shocked, we were outclassed at home.
In fact it was the worst performance I've seen during Rafa's reign.

Wake up early to watch, only to be disappointed.

Same here, disappointed but not enough to make me lose my sleep maybe
becos think I'm more concerned with our BPL form & result than CL this year...maybe. Secondly, I'm not sure if there's any truth in it, but Liverpool likes to do it the "hard way" when it comes to cup competition, esp CL remember our "road to Istanbul" We definitely need good wingers, last nite no Peanut and we can't seems to cross into their penalty box, and why Babel did not play last night....hmm....Leto still not ready for big time European games, my heart always drop and scratch my head when he or Sissoko loses possession. Think last nite, only Hyypia, Reina and Finan performed to their expected level, rest just way below par. What a painful and torturing morning of football!
I'm banging on quick rebound for our home game against Spurs with vengence. Finger crossed for the "real liverpool team" to turn up. YWNA!

Stayed up to watch the match ....... damn waste of time. Now got a very bad headache due to lack of sleep .....

What a terrible display. One of the worse !!!!! What is happening to the team? Hopefully this will serve as a big wake up call.

I suspect one of the reasons might be the rain. It caused the players to keep losing possession, esp Sisoko. And I think it kinda affected their momentum and confidence. Or is it that they have really shifted their priority to the EPL?

Anyway, let's hope we will do better soon. :)

Cheers

Actually the writing has been on the wall for the past few weeks....we struggled to score against teams like Portsmouth, Birmingham, Wigan and in the CL we only managed a draw with Porto....

I was quite amazed to watch the Pool match. I expected them to sweep past Marseilles. I think they are not just playing well together, taking a lax attitude and expecting victory to come easily. I remember Barcelona went through the same thing last season and we lost our title to Milan in Europe and Real Madrid in Spain. Good luck guys. Have faith in your team.

Yep....they r playing like shit since Pako Ayestaran left.
He was the hands on guy who drills the players on Benitez tactics :( With his departure Liverpool have lost one of their pillars.
