Agreed! His formation sucks big time.Should start with a 4-4-2.Crouch should start against a tall keeper like Friedel.

I share both your sentiments.
However, specifically in yesterday's away game against a well-organised form team, I dun think Rafa did any wrong in playing a lone striker (with Gerrard totally free to make runs from the blind side) ... & when you are denied the services of Torres, who else can play lone striker besides Kuyt?? By lone striker, we're talking someone with the lungs to stretch the defence all over ... so that space can be created for others. Think about it.

No matter how good a team is ... no championship will be won without a tinge of luck. Last night, we just didn't have any ... chances that were heading for goal ended up being either smothered by the acrobatic Friedel or cleared off the line ... & when Blackburn were helpless, the other good chances had to land on Kuyt's feet. That's pure bad luck. :D

Uncle ... what did you agree on, who did you agree with??
1) playing a most predictable 4-4-2 against a well-organised form team in an away match? if Rafa's formation sucks, then there's no word in the dictionary to describe yours.
2) it was becoz Rafa played 4-4-1-1 which allowed Gerrard to make runs into the box & unleash those 2 shots which Friedel miraculously saved ... if you cannot even appreciate Rafa's efforts here, then I think you should support S-league teams where your favourite Tohari Paijan reign supreme.
3) lastly, Friedel ended up as a hero 2 times over yesterday ... not becoz of his height but his amazing reflexes & agility.
4) as for why Crouch was not started as the lone striker ... refer to my responses above.

Sheesh ... & they say Reds supporters are so knowledgeable.

Where is this coming from? Kuyt has lost his form? This is the fella who kept his nerve and gave us three points in the most difficult of arenas a few weeks ago.

King, I'm not going to say you are an apologist heheh although your second paragraph was a bit 'generous'. It's not a bad game considering we lost there last season after dominating the whole game. At the same time we aren't championship material yet if we can conjure 5-6 clear chances and fail to take one. I'm looking for improvement but I'm not sharpening my knives for anyone. ;)

Spot on, a few weeks ago.
He was on the pitch for all of us to see, I wonder how many clear chances he needs now to just convert one into a goal ?

Guys, lets give Rafa a break. He brought us this far. Lets see where we stand at the end of the season. After all, we are not Chelski :p

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Didnt watched the 1st half much as I was watching Jackie Chan re-runs on Ch8! :D

I got to say things looked much better when Kewell and Crouch are sub in...

Kewell provided the width needed as I feel both Babel and Benayoun tend to cut into the middle more and Crouch started winning all the high balls(Why aren't we passing that much lately? We pumped high balls too when playing Arsenal)...

The idea of Gerrard as a free role is quite good, but it didnt really work until Kewell appearance which started to really stretch Blackburn's defense...
Didnt you guys notice we only really start to pile on the pressue until the last 15min? (which was kinda late)...

Credit to Friedel, those were good saves from Gerrard's shot...

And as for Kyut. its disappointing to see him miss those 2 good chances... Could have done better...

We kept our unbeaten record but whats the point when we can win?

I rather win 1 game and lost the next and win the 3rd again, rather than 3 draws in a row... (1st Spurs, Arsenal then Blackburn).. At least we got 6points out of 9 rather than the 3points we had...

PS. KingEuro, I find it that all the comments and opinions given by other bros dont seem to go down well to you and only your opinion mean something...(at least that how I feel)

We are all Liverpool fans and all have the right to comment... No offense please! :D

I am not Rafa's die hard fan but I really like him as a decent guy with dignity.
We all know it was stubborness that caused GH's downfall & Rafa has been very stubborn lately. I really hope he can prove those who are having a go at him at the moment wrong at the end of the season.

I for one don't mind if my comments don't go down well to another party,In a forum, I always agree to disagree :)

I dare say Rahl doesn't feel this way ...
Nothing wrong IF it's their own opinions ... meaning something they can substantiate with an argument of their own, something not unlike what you've just put forth ...
So bloody lame to just put up one-liner parroting the dumbness that's raking in tabloid readership ... & when challenged, can come up with nothing but one-liner saying "looks like you are Rafa's sick-kick" & "he thinks he's Rafa in disguise" etc.

Hiya ... what's there to mind, what's there to make fun of??
Typo happens all the time ... especially in the heat of the moment.
What more ... the word he mistyped is but a very dispensible one - not as if he mis-spelled Rafa Benetiz, Anfield or the Kop. :D :D
