1) House, i will use a vn people name who i trust. use his name because house will be freehold. vn wife cannot be trusted. will transfer to her name when OLD.

2) Income, we need a income, how to get income? use your brain, brainstorm.

3) HDB, buy a min 3 4 5 room flat and get rental money as additional sources of income.

Retire comfortably in vietnam.
Dont need to worry pay and pay as vn is afforable.
a normal vn salary is between $100-$500 sgd

Having a $2000 income per month, confirm can retired without worry ^_^

please domnt take offense if I laugh out loud, esp the first point...and you idea pool money with strangers you meet on a sex website to do business...bottom line is if arleady experineced in busiess they dont need u, and if they also fellow newbies case of blind leading blind...case in point cheonging here, if someone aldread have lobang in vn, the would only meet you if they have a agenda to cheat/scam you or you offer them something they see worth while, other wise they can enjoy alone with women rather than carry along dead weight...now also fellow virgin newbies happy to gang together for safety in numbers but its end up being carrot chopped in a larger group....you think retire 2k income..there are many guys who support their vn gf 1k a month...lets se how u do on 1k a month in vn....

I've been considering whether Thailand or Vietnam is a suitable place for retirement. Not easy to make a choice at the moment. Trying to gather a lot more information and research on the cost of living, climate, culture etc. Many things to consider and maybe you can provide some insights to retiring in Vietnam for those of us we are keen.

Just from your point 1 mentioning rather trust a vn stranger/person than vn wife.......so why u want to set up a family and retire in vn??

If you have the brain to brainstorm and have decent income, or you can buy a hdb 3-5 room fully paid off to get your rental money, u can live in any other countries and find a wife that u can trust maybe in Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Burma, Indonesia, Cambodia or even China......cost of living similar.

Think most important is language, and that will take u normally 1-2 years to be able to speak in Vn or Th (unless you attend classes and study hard, maybe 6 months to 1 year is ok). Next try to stay 3 or more months in Vn and Th, to see which culture you prefer etc.

I lived 9-10 years in jkt, 5-6 years in bkk and now retire in CM....not been to Vn yet but guess will make a sight seeing trip soon. :D By the way quite a few sg guys living in CM but we are not interested in forming sg community, just sometime get together for beer or exchange info for nice food.

Wow then can do bbbj almost everyday but need to invest time and money in senior like u to show newbie the rope to find such cheap lobang. Or worst case just watch porn and pcc at home if cannot find such cheap place.

For food no worries can bring from singapore and eat maggie curry noodles everyday, cheap and yet is singapore food and taste. Rest of the time just stay in VN home and watch TV. Sure can retired there.

Doing biz in VN for foreigner is suicidal.:D

Yes MC is right, CM is ChiangMai.....one of the top 10 city to retire :D

http://www.livinginchiangmai.com/chi...vens-for-2014/

Actually best city to retire is depending on where you build your family and love one......no point retire in a cheap nice city and yet all alone at home. Go and find a right wife, make some nice kids and that will be your best retire home/city/country.:p

Once a while if need to cheong, can just fly to neighbouring city/country like Pattaya, Bkk, CP (too bad is dead now), JKT or even VN etc....

VN wife cannot trust but VN people can trust...so ur VN wife is not VN people???...what kind of rubbish is this...:(

u will have either HDB 3-5 room out for rental..and $2000 per mth is enough for u to retire without worry in Vietnam..do u know how much is the rental for HDB a not...a HDB 3 room in a matured estate might get $2000 depending on location..not to even mention 4 and 5 rooms.

if u already has the mention amount then why still need to brain storm and find income..

hope u can think carefully in future before making such postings..
