So, who says we are out of the race??

Correction bro. Arsenal hammered Everton 4-1 leh... but no worries. Most important is Manure loss...

Ok, so my 6th sense was wrong ... :o :o

But it's such a crazy weekend.
End of first half at Goodison, score read Everton 1 Arsenal 0.
Yet, end of the game, score read Everton 1 Arsenal 4.

In between, Bendtner received a 2nd yellow & got sent off in the 74th min ... with the score at 1-2.
Instead of coming back, Everton conceded 2 more goals & lost Arteta with a red card in between.
Other than that, the yellow card score read ... Everton 0 Arsenal 6!!!
So, who says Arsenal plays only pretty football all the time??

Another strange game was enacted at White Hart Lane.
Score read Spurs 6 Reading 4 ... reminds me so much of inter-class matches!!

Salute to the Hammers, they had the right winning mentality ,fighting spirit & level of confidence to upset the defending champion on which IMO we are inferior to them.
A real tricky game against City, interesting to see how Didi try to stop Stevie :)

Yes a big win for Arse and I normally won't complain when Evershite are beaten (trounced) but the Gunners did not impress me one bit last night. Hardly played any football, and should rightly thank the Everton defence for the hesitant defending and the officials for not spotting the infringements leading to the goals. Is it just me or did the so called wonderkid Fabregas look like he was axed by an alien instead of Arteta?

Wah !! Long time never come in liao :D

Last time, kenna zap in this thread by a Arsenal supporter :p

Anyway. here is some facts with regards to tonight's game against Man City ..

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/image...c_liv_0506.gif

The club with the joint best home record in the Premier League meets the one
with the strongest away form.

Manchester City have had two draws over Christmas and dropped points at Eastlands for the first time this season; Liverpool are looking to extend their 100% holiday programme with a third straight win.

Manchester City have not scored a single goal in four Premier League matches with the Merseysiders.

----

I like this statement. But then, 'pool must score lah .. else, 0-0 draw :(

The team playing against Man City:

GK: Reina
DF: Finnan, Arbeloa, Carragher, Aurelio
MF: Benayoun, Mascherano, Gerrard, Kewell
FW: Kuyt, Torres

Yes, the gaffer's playing it safe ... no Agger & no Hobbs as Hyypia's replacement, although Arbeloa will be playing as centre-back for the first time in his LFC career.

No overflooding of the midfield too ... a straight 4-4-2 with 2 good wingers to exploit the bigger pitch at Man City. Rafa certainly means business. :D

Not too bad a 1st half, we can do better than that...

Carragher was impressive, though I have to say the defence looked kinda shaky at 1st...

Lets get a goal early in the 2nd half and see if we can kill off the game!

With Manure dropping points, and more importantly Chelski and Gunners winning, we need to keep up the pace!

Kuyt performed better than Torres & it's just not our day.
Why leave it so late to play Babel :(

Thanks to brilliant (almost out-of-this-world) performances by both Hamann & Dunne, we managed to get only 1 point.
Results wise, rather frustrating ... but performance wise, I have no complaints.

0-0, fair result I guess... And credit to R Dunne whom I think had a great game for Man City in defense...

Think of it, this is one of our best xmas seasons we had for a long time...

At least we didnt lost, 7points out of 9points...

Not trying to criticise the team for a very creditable away performance (without a centreback mind you). But if we are to win the title, we need winners with a strong mentality who will push forward in the last 10 mins in search of the winner. Unfortunately Stevie looked tired in the period while Torres was frustrated with the officiating. Yossi came closest in running till the end looking for victory and Kuyt was tireless as usual. Arbeloa very shaky first half but better in the second.

Why do the deflections and loose balls never fall into goal for us????
