Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

I'm back in SG now. Thanks to the 2 bros who up my points.

On my last lonely night in HCM, I was drinking alone at the sky bar at my hotel and decided that I need to have some action. I went down and got into a cab and asked to go to Le Duyen area.

Once I got onto the cab, the cab driver spoke to me in Cantonese. Heng ah, I know a bit of Cantonese and he drove me to Le Duyen. When we are there, he asked me what I'm looking for - hj, massage or fj. I told him I just want a massage with perhaps hj.

He told me don't waste time with saloons like Le Duyen, waste $ as well and no action. He told me I should have told him earlier that I'm looking for places with action, he also said near my hotel (Windsor Plaza Hotel in D5) have some places that I might be interested and quite budget place.

End up he brought me to this small time saloon and sitting around were 4 ladies, all quite young and not bad looking but the saloon was very run down and located at an alley, thus not very recommended. Price was 100k just to go in. The shop assistant brought me up to 2nd floor into a room where there's 3 beds and they use those traditional clothes to separate the 3 beds.

There was no customers at the saloon and I was quite scared kena conned but bo bian, don't step in also step in liao. Shortly after, 1 of the ladies came up (quite chio, 7/10 looks with cup C). Facilities wise I rate 1/10, really run down place. I thought the lady will help me wash hair etc but nothing leh, she only massage for me and massage was super play piano type (1/10 score) for like 10 minutes and she knew a bit of Chinese.

After that action lai liao, she proceeded to unzip my jeans and started to hj for me. Hj was so-so, not the best but not the worst (6/10). After shoot liao, I thought game over and time to go but surprisingly, the lady sat on my bed and laid beside me and chit chat with me. She asked me where I'm from etc then asked me where I'm going. I bluffed her that I'm meeting a friend for supper and she said she want to tag along and I told her it's not a good idea. She kept jio-ing me go out but I told her I'm returning to SG already.

After a while, I decided it's time to go.

Total damage = 100k + 200k (massage + hj + tips) = 300k

Think next time must really plan and go to the more tried and tested happening areas.

Try Vietjetair, 45ms flight + 45 mins taxi (250k) frm airport to town
Or maybe train will be better and faster.

Yeah if u want to take taxi, maybe the cost of taxi is more expensive for 4 to fly to Cam Rang airport in that province.....

I remember it is roughly ard 110,000vnd from PNL area to the city center for SinhTourist bus. If u can sleep then take the night bus.

The USD$50 still has not include the tax..... compare the rate of flying and bus.... 1,100,000 vs 110,000.....

Train will take about 8hr to reach Nha Trang.....

I am not sure about the price of taxi from airport to NT city, but from the city to airport, there is a standard rate, not go by meter.... u need to nego with the driver.

Hi all

Thanks for the advice.

Presently, we had about 10 people intend to book a minibus like mai linh. My bx had check the price to chartered a mini bus through and flow cost abt 7.5 million. For taxi, cant accomodate so many people. I was thinking to go by train as it look better.

There must be a good reason for not taking the 60 minutes flight.

One good reason is when you have girl travelling together with you. :D

Maybe u shd ask your bx to go to the train station to ask about the price.... I think it could be around 500k per trip. Example 10 ppl will be 5mil. If to and fro then it is 10mil....

This is the standard of trains:

http://s16.postimg.org/7kciyiuxt/DSVN.jpg

For Saigon to Nha Trang there is a private operator of luxury carriages called Golden Trains which operate 4 soft berth carriages daily to Nha Trang:
http://www.trainticketdeliver.com/Go...in_S65-68.html

The advantage to the Minibus is that you will have it to take you around Nha Trang when you are there, eliminating the need for taxis. The alternative is to do the return trip by train, and book two 7-seater taxis to take you around for the time you are in Nha Trang.

Vietnamese usually prefer to book a mini bus if travelling in a group.

if u have a group of 10 people,i advise u to book a 19 seater because its more comfortable and the journey is quite tiring and bumpy.

Told you can change Ringgit in hcm and you still dun believe...so why bother to ask if you dun believe...

You asking too many questions here...dun like too many tcss here...please pm your questions to jackbl since he is willing to answer all your questions...this thread is to share hcm info...:)

I felt very stupid to reply if answers are found here and all you have to do is to search the thread...or google...:)

I had replied some pms and not reply all pms...I felt that I am wasting time answering questions that are found in my signature and thread...:)

I had many coffee sessions with newbies...most are asking the same questions...told them to prepare their questions and most not well prepared...all hide their real motives and intentions to visit hcm till we probed and open them up...some have not even visit one year after meeting me...so hope newbies understand depends how you ask and what you ask...then i will answer...:)

Err sorry bro, i didn't doubt your answer, just saying that if i cant find a place to change RM, i really dont know what to do adi.

Besides, i dont know who to direct the question to, thats why i posted here, but i will refrain from tcss unnecessarily.... apologies if i asked the wrong question. I've read the whole thread and would not ask the question if already can be found here.

Will post FR when im back from HCM den. Hopefully one of the seniors here could meet me up, so i can write something interesting.

Thanks
