U have to walk through the rubble to get to the spa.
My gal wechat me says most of them took the opportunity to go back hometown etc so I would imagine they are not running at full staff strength. It's also a great time to get the gal to go to bed with u cos their source of income now affected. :p

Is it advisable to book hotel thru agoda or just book from there?

The last trip I was staying in Oscar Saigon hotel (walk-in) with my girl cost around Sgd 80 per night. Then I book another hotel thru agoda at golden central hotel cost around sgd $50+ per night but for my girl I have to pay another extra USD$20 per night (the usual commie rules).

Can anyone recommend any girl friendly hotel?

Million thanks

Can someone tell me what this means....

em dang gap kho khan. Nen can anh giup do. Anh khong giup duoc em thi cung khong sao dau.

Translation gets some, but the part "em cung thi khong sao do" part is confusing me. I know sao do means "after" or "later"

You are the guy showing off here too. You found some wechat girls then asking others to contact u as if u have some girls who are prestige. You are a fool actually, those wechat girls who are going for tourist can be found through wechat search in tourist area, need u to introduce?

Never understand why there are people like u around here, cannot wait to tell people u are 50+ yrs man with a 20+ girl model in vietnam. Maybe i reach your age then i understand. :p

H88 have help many newbie here secretly but never even bother to tell what he do.

Thanks to both of you for the translation help.

I don't know what you mean about trying to disturb the thread. I was not trying to do that. It was late at night when I posted that, and I had a SMS from a girl who had been asking for money, which I turned down, and google gave me a bad translation (something about exam provisions) of her last reply, so I needed help.

There were lots of posts here recently about people announcing their arrivals or saying hi to their friends. What I asked here seems no more "out of topic" than those. This is "The Asian Commercial Sex Scene - Vietnam HCM Thread 3". My post was strongly related to every word in that title, though now I think "sex" definitely won't be part of my final equation. Unfortunately, "commercial" already is.

Anyway, your translations were actually a big help, so again thank you both. I had to play with google to try to get further possible translations, and one seemed to be "if you don't help me I will be a corpse"

About the TS H88, I have talked often with him in PM (not recently though), we worked together as a team years ago to get rid of The Toad and also on his info website. As far as I know we are on good terms. I always think of him as a good guy, it's that simple. Maybe we disagree on some forum issues though, but we have never directly discussed that, not that I can remember. If there are some recent rivalries with H88 and someone else, I'm not part of that, and if anything I would support H88 against non-credible charges like ones I saw here recently. Please don't imagine that I'm one of those rivals of his.

Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

Hey man, go easy please, that was a rough day for me. She was a long time cafe acquaintance who I was hoping would be a GF, but suddenly she came up with one after another big financial needs, before we even got a first date. I had to calculate all the signals I'd got over the last month plus of hanging out with her to figure out what to do, and 10 minutes before deciding I did not know which way I would go. In the end, it came down to the fact that she was probably going to be very high maintenance financially, and might even after this cash layout come back and say Thanks you are a good friend. I didn't know her well enough to trust her yet. What probably did it for me, the first time I gave her some cash she needed, the next time we met together at her cafe a couple days later, her focus was on chatting in facebook with someone on her phone, and that just made a really bad impression on me. I went in expecting some warmth and appreciation but instead felt ignored. I noticed when the manager came around she would hide her phone so he didn't see. I thought, Well I can see.

Sorry I wasn't being hard on you. Just well-meaning advice if you really want to go anywhere in VN.

Well let me guess. She knows little to no English. And you know little to no Vietnamese. So the only reason she would invest time to sit down with you for coffee is for the sake of that bulge in your wallet.

It's not like both of you are able to go into an in-depth discussion about the future or the intricacies of Viet-foreigner relationships.

Exactly, you must be a psychic. And don't worry, I had no illusions there. Starting a family with her wasn't my plan. What's the name of this forum again? :p

Still it was not a fun day. She's in a bad situation (I think, I don't even know her well enough to know if she's sick buffaloing me), and wanting me to help bail her out, and I'm just not feeling like I'm the one who should be doing that. Too soon. We haven't even held hands yet. This was one of those girls in one of the D5 / D10 cafes, not sure if I made that clear. One more thing, she owns a Vespa, and she's 19. So I'm also wondering the whole time, why aren't you selling your Vespa before asking a guy you haven't even dated yet for that much money? There's a few more details like that which just did not feel right.

they wont sell their vespa, face matters more than anything.
Anyway most foreigner guys r just walking ATM. So to them its natural to ask of u.
not to mention girls who work in these places, they have武陵密集to teach them how to squeeze $$ out with every story. ...
By the way, hows the weather in hcm.?

Rain rain rain. Yesterday when I was driving around on my bike at different times of day (morning, afternoon, evening) I got caught in storms 3 different times.

I don't read Chinese, so I wonder what they have that teaches them how to do this. ;)

What bugs me is if her story is true, then it's really tragic. But I thought it over, and whether it was true or not, I wasn't comfortable. I felt doubtful this was leading toward hotel time. And due to the seriousness of her situation, I would have looked very sleazy if I suggested at a moment like this that it should. So this was going to be a big payment on a less than 50-50 chance.

Thanks for listening.

You really think VBs really go for foreigners for their "good looks" or larger dicks? Dream on. It's just the general perception that foreigners have bigger spending power due to the strength of foreign currencies.

Given a choice, they would go for their own race any time. Just that rich/handsome VN guys are few and far between. :p

Tragic...everywhere also have. How much can we help, especially for vb like these who r passerby.
Should just move on....so many others..
Even if offered a deal, i think its fair. Both have demand and need supply.
And such f&f deal is better for u...anytime walk away without being a bastard.

When i go out in vn...theres many 'normal' girls who dont look to suck up our money.
Since u r there often...am sure u can hook up.
I do have and the feeling is great, no those keep telling u mother sick father sick dog sick or moto sick.....

Shit, still raining so much ah...hope it clear up asap

Hahah..a good way to test is just being bad to them, those who really like u...will stay and cry and kpkb.
Thats my acid test to see if they deserve more from me

I have seen many vb..who keep worry ab8ut money but still carry iphone 6 or ride the lavish moto.
But i do know...some take big loan for the moto. If they do sell, sometimes still owe more.
