Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

1) Do you think there will be a new investor in Liverpool FC?
I doubt so unless someone can really offer the Yankees an offer they cant reject.

2 ) Why are we into a run of bad spells lately ?
Its kinda mystery to me too. Cant entirely blame the off field issues with the owners and Rafa.

3) Does the current strategy in Liverpool work ? Or can any other strategy be used ?
Be brave and attack all the way? Haha!

4 ) Will we clinch the 4th spot ? And most importantly qualify for the next CL.
US OF COURSE!!

5) Who is the best Liverpool player performer ?
MASCHERANO!! I didnt watch all the games he played but when I did, he never fail to impress.. Even Mr consistant Carragher is not up to mark at times..

6) Who is the worst player ?
Vovorin? Kyut? Riise?

2) ya, draw spell. the club is mocked for being a "draw king".:D

3) it doesn't look like liverpool stands on 4-4-2, more on 4-4-1-1.

4) still got chance lah. anything can happen. but i feel the road will be very though as there are a lot of obstacles like everton, villa, man city.

PS: err..... my bet on chelsea. keke....:D

Just for a healthy discussion :

1) Do you think there will be a new investor in Liverpool FC?

2 ) Why are we into a run of bad spells lately ?

3) Does the current strategy in Liverpool work ? Or can any other strategy be used ?

4 ) Will we clinch the 4th spot ? And most importantly qualify for the next CL.

Let there be peace in this thread.

1) Do you think there will be a new investor in Liverpool FC?
a)next season
b)insufficient financial support to whoever manager for new players
c)bad run
d)few of the key players request for transfer
e)delay of new stanley park stadium donno until when
f)fans start to boycott home matches
g)anti yanks sentiment getting out of hand
h)likely we will see someone comming in

2 ) Why are we into a run of bad spells lately ?
a)i always expect us to looks down the league table from the top to check on our neighbor, red and blue from south as well as scum what r they doing whenever we r very free..but looks like is the other way round
b)so simply put,we already in bad spells for almost 20 yrs,not lately

3) Does the current strategy in Liverpool work ? Or can any other strategy be used ?
a)NO,the current strategy is just the reflect on the club policy,so club policy+manager strategy=FAIR PLAY AWARD.
b)just look around, any championship team will not be complete without a...emmm..how am i gonna put it..ok lah controversial figure..give u few eg:someone like cantona, viera, keane, materazzi, simone and so on...they either get send off or make opponents get send off,so pls dont flame me,thats is fact and also the untold element that made up of a team balance which i feel wat pools lack of,unless something is change if not even the addition of the likes of robinho, messi, kaka at most we can go will only be cup competition.Want to eat the salted fish must tahan the thirst lah:p
c)so before we see masca or whoever come in is allow to be himself or express himself freely on the field ,we can only see strategy surely not a champion strategy.

4) Will we clinch the 4th spot ? And most importantly qualify for the next CL.
well,we r too big to participate in uefa cup,so it is not "will we" instead is "we must"!!!imagine if man c,villa,or eveton gets in,who wanna watch?i guess even uefa and the sponsor dont wanna see this also.

5) Who is the best Liverpool player performer ?
1st season in bpl with such a great scoring form, who else?

6) Who is the worst player ?
gone!!

english very poor, hope u can understand:)

Interesting posts here...

First thing, Rafa is a GREAT MANAGER, but whether he is the right one to help us lift the premiership remains to be seen..

He is in the process of upgrading the team. He bought Sissoko to do a job, now that he has better, he is not afraid to sell.

IMHO, I never look at who should go, but who is deserving to stay. Reina, Alonso, Gerard, Carra, Torres, Masch, Kuyt, Babel.

We will make it to CL, no doubts.

As for controversial figures winning league titles, if that was the case, then Wimbeldon should have gotten a few when old Vinny was playing. I think what is meant is a strong leader, i.e Roy Keane, Gattuso, Lampard. We already have Gerrard, unless he is all of a sudden not good enough

Best player this season, Gerrard and Torres.

Thanks for all the inputs sharing bros. Do continue to share even if your english is no good. Every view is welcome even if you are not supporters of Liverpool . You can also add on to list that I have started for a healthy discussion. Wish Liverpool will get something out of tonight's match.:)

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

RAFA: WE COULD HAVE WON
http://i28.tinypic.com/2jbp2zo.jpg

Rafael Benitez praised his team for their performance in the goalless draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge but admitted the Reds could perhaps have won the game.
Liverpool moved back into fifth place in the Barclays Premier League table with the point gained in London. Benitez's side are now three points behind Everton with a game in hand.

Taking into account his side's recent away record at Chelsea, Benitez felt there was a lot of encouragement for the Reds to gain from this display.

"Normally to get a point away at Chelsea is a good situation but in the first half we had some good chances to win the game," said Benitez.

"In the second half we had to defend more but we did that well and also had some half chances close to their box. We could have taken three points but it's not easy when you play against a good team.

"I was pleased with the team, especially the first half performance because we created some really clear opportunities. Crouch had some good chances but as team we showed character and the commitment of every player was very positive.

"Chelsea are a very good team with very good players starting with their goalkeeper. To create the chances we did was very positive for me. If you cannot take your chances you know that is the difference between winning and drawing sometimes.

"Overall I would say to get a point here is not bad but when you have chances like we did to win here today you must be disappointed.

"The plan as always was to win the game and we didn't play for a draw. We were attacking and did almost everything that's needed for winning."

"We now need to think about trying to take three points in every game we play. We now have two important games in the FA Cup and Champions League coming up and we need to think about them.

"In terms of our position in the table we need to keep working hard and play as we did today if it's possible. If we can do that against the other teams then I'm sure we will start winning.

"Every game is important for us and it doesn't matter what competition it is. We want to finish in the top four and we need to think about the next three points at home against Middlesbrough."

The boss also had words of encouragement for Martin Skrtel who gave an accomplished display at centre half alongside Jamie Carragher.

"Martin did well," said Benitez. "His fitness was good and I think he will get even better because he is learning English, and tactically he will also improve the understanding with his teammates."

I thought babel played well in the match.Asfor crouch, i thought he is slow for a striker. There was one through ball by gerrard and he should score.Draw was a fair result.

watching yesterday match, i dun know what are the words to describe but the word comical kept popping up in my head...i mean not only was Liverpool guilty of passing the ball away to their opponents, Chelsea was doing like wise, through out the entire match it was happening..last night match was definitely neither teams normal standard..perhaps like the question always asked "what happens when a unstoppable force meets an unmovable force"? They cancel each other out....i was surprised why Benitez opted to start Lucas Levi in central and move Gerrard to the right...would it have been better to have Pennant started on this position...but the midfield area was over crowded by both teams...guess that area is central to both for victory seeing how it is suppose to be both strongest department for the night...but a draw is still a consolation...but damn standing still behind the impostor of Liverpool city...

I was out of town during CNY & returned to see there were quite a lot of name callings in here, that made me quite sad. Always agree to disagree, nothing personal in a forum, why can't we just do that ?

Some very knowledgeable bros tend to be sarcastic & critical in replies coz they cannot put up with banal posts or try to impose their own standards over other bros. But try to look at their arguments, analysis & visions etc, hand over heart, can you display all that ? :)
Believe me,they always mean well & I do agree sometimes they have to learn how to be more subtle ( think some of us will miss bro A_X_L ?)

I said in an earlier post that this world is beautiful because of varieties, not similarities. Unless we can accept that everyone is unique & different, then forever 'You'll walk alone'.

Cheers

well,at least we managed to get a draw at Stamford Bridge,a barren ground for us in the past few seasons.
we will qualify for CL, no doubt in my mind.
our captain magnificent - Steven Gerrard, the best of all. :)

Bro, you are right. I won't make excuses but the anger on both sides was over a long long long running argument that recently came to a head.

Yeah, AXL, sometime peacemaker, always sensible guru of Pool thread. What the hell is he? ;)
