Gets better with discounted age in Patts:p Good to know you living it up in LOS so often. Whilst we all slaving away back home. No more overland drives to Danok, Hdy?

Great Eats at Soi Buakow

If you are hankering for something hot after a night of drinking but don't fancy a burger or kebab from the roadside vendors then this little shop which stays open until 5am along Soi Buakow does some delicious Thai staples for a very good price. Staples like pad grapow moo sap kai dao (stirred fried basil pork with sunny side up egg) and pad prik on moo (stirred fried young green peppers with pork) for only THB45 a dish. They are next to a goldsmith shop diagonally across from Sugar Sugar agogo. Perfect after stumbling out of the LK-Metro agogos in a 1/2 drunk stupor!

Good to share info..but I wonder why share info on a roadside restaurant whose food and service is no better than the hundreds of similar thai places all over Pattaya. A few reviews from farangs does not make this place better than the rest.

This restaurant is also known by its nick Hole in the Wall restaurant. Its popular with farangs and thais cos its cheap..basically thats it. The food is ok but service is soso and be prepared to wait a long time for your food. I see no difference in most thai run places selling thai food. If I stay elsewhere from Buakhow I would see no reason to head for this place just for the food unless you absolutely can only afford 40 baht chicken rice in which case you better stay in spore.

Good eats in nice settings go to Ruen Thai..Mum Aroi..and mookata places. Many singaporeans here are also familiar with Lengkee Restaurant on Pattaya Klang..their duck is good. In malls..Shabushi is a firm favourite. There is a Secret Recipe at Central Festival. Along Buakhow there is a new Mexican place called Taco House..brilliant Angus Beef Burger for 170 baht..I ate there a few times already.

Pizzas are aplenty but my favourites are Pan pan in Jomtien and the Pizza Factory..pizza American style.

Seafood I would travel to the jetty on Soi 14 Naklua..better still go Bang Saen if have time.

Best footcourts are the ones in Central Festival and Big C Extra Pattaya Klang. Best night market
street food is along Thepprasit Road. Nearer to Soi 5.

Having said all these my main staple is still Soi 6...the food carts keep coming thru the street and almost any thai food can be had at cheap cheap prices. Delivered to the bar and set to enjoy with yr drink.

I write this not by cutting and pasting from other sites but these places I enjoy and been there many times...Cheers..:p

sorry I not done yet..

For good Chinese food..forget it. Pattaya Chinese food sucks.

Indian food..many many many Indian restaurants but look out for those along small Sois as prices are cheaper.

Arab food..I have a favourite just outside walking street but cant remember the name..its jus opposite the shops that got burned down last time.

Malay food..forget it..there is none.

Halal food..thai halal food sucks too. A couple places along Pattaya Klang but most concentrated after Sukhumvit Road Soi 54.

I for one would like to see a real Khao Tom place..there is one along 3rd road but nothing compared to the one I had in Chiangmai..:D

On makan, there's this great seafood restaurant where locals go. Jomtien area, so need transport. Not the touristy type (as in WS), but freshest seafood minus the hype. Been there few times with local Patts and Bkk resident cronies (but sinkies). Even HM007 joined us in Mar. Rare to see farang.

Made it to Tripadvisor:

The oysters (zinc) was something, food for soul and ....libido:p Tempted by a crony end May, but messed up by setup across Thonburi :o You rtf soon, I hear. Transiting from jkt, sg? :D

Oil sheikh, yo as I forewarned need wheels of some kind. Can hitch a lift from some some well supported FL's car. But worth the short excursion, only 15-20mins back to 2nd rd after 10pm. WS seafood joints a tourist trap. And you recall our songtaew ride with a crony's motorsai onboard last May? I even did 3some ride on his motorsai on way back. With me strategically behind chabor's rear 555
