I had not replied to a few pms because I am not sure how to answer...think newbies better dun cheong hcm for the time being until the raids stopped and cheong places re-opened...:)

I enjoy visiting HCMC to rub shoulder with friendly locals whom treat us like one of them rather than strangers and tourists.

Drinking beer together with them by the side of the road. Give them cigarette; they give us boiled peanuts. Playing with their young child; look at beautiful people of all walk of life zooming on scooters on all 4 directions.

Bonking all a sudden become secondary. I know a lot of brothers here can afford to pay big money to cheong anywhere in this world.

If you view HCMC just as another sex tourism location; you may miss out on the real gem this country provide.

I am planning my return trip to Hanoi, Haiphong and Halong Bay for winter. Cold weather is good for a hot VN kopi, drink slowly n relax.... I miss winter in Hanoi.

Did my solo hcmc 4days trip last Saturday. Stayed in Sunflower Central, nice and centrally located, and Girl Friendly :D

A few makan places to share with Bros here.

(1) Mongolian hotpot (lamb), you can try BA CON CUU (106A Cao Thang, War 4, Dist 3, www.baconcuu.com.vn). Have a good beer over lamb hotpot is shiok.

(2) Vegetarian food, you can try VINH NGHIEM (339 Nam ky, Khoi nghia, WARD 7, dist 3). Note that this is located inside a temple compound. Fried rice, Spring roll & mushroom hotpot is sedap!

(3) Vegetarian food, you can also try LOVING HUT (38 Huynh Khuong Ninh St, Da Kao Ward, Dist 1, www.hoadanghut.com). The 'chicken' salad is nice and the many types of fried rice.

Exchange rate then was SGD 1 = 16,800 Dong

No hot babes place to intro cos I am with my high gfe GF. :D

yes yes...plenty of nice places in Vietnam besides hcm...:)

namely -

Vung Tau - 2 hrs ferry ride or almost 4 hours of bus rides

Mui Ne - almost 5 hrs of bus ride

Nha Trang - almost 9 - 10 hrs or bus rides or train rides. Can fly to Cam Rang and take 30 mins of taxi to Nha Trang

Phu Quoc - can only fly 45 mins and within 1 hr should arrive

The four places above have beautiful beaches.

Da Lat - almost 7 to 10 hrs bus rides depend on traffic conditions...can fly arrive within 1.5hrs...nice cool weather up in the mountains like cameron highlands.

Can Tho - nice countryside scenery and rich culture of mekong delta livelihoods...experience selling food and beverages on boat along mekong river.

Hanoi - rich cultural capital with monuments and museums...visit uncle ho tomb...fly 2 hrs from hcm or direct singapore - hanoi only around 3.5hrs.

Halong Bay - many want to name this one of the wonders of the world...2 to 3 hours taxi.bus ride from Hanoi.

Sapa - almost 10 hours of train rides to the borders of China...fantastic scenery and rich cultural heritage along the way.

Rach Gia - capital of Kien Giang Province...7 hrs bus ride from hcm...can fly reach within 1 hr...strong sea breezes blowing daily...most outdoor eateries and cafes no fan...beautiful tall fair gals with nice curves.

Ha Tien - a city within Kien Giang with strong sea bzeezes blowing daily and nice temple visits...only 2 hrs bus ride from Rach Gia...managed to walk up and down a hill temple and leg cramped for 3 days.

Chau doc...a city within An Giang Province with nice famous temples and cultural heritages...7 hrs bus rides from hcm...2 to 3 hrs bus rides from Rach Gia...plenty of gals working in hcm are from Chau Doc.

Danang, Hoi An, Hue...central Vietnam...

many many nice places which not mentioned above...every year I go one place will take me many years to complete...hehe...:)

My friend massage parlor still open as per normal. Didnt hear there is raid. His massage parlor at district 10.

During 2nd week of August, the tkt are so full to hcm. I think more pple wana to sex tour since it more cheaper. Now in Singapore some vb in big ktv asking so much for dem qua.sigh.....

Planning Nov. :D If we go Halong Bay, we can sit on the top deck of the boat and drink kopi or beer.


If in Hanoi, fresh draft Hanoi beer is $0.2 or 0.4 per glass, can't remember how much but I remember bring $10, u will never walk home straight. :D

How true... Had one bad experience in Hanoi but the beauty and beauties in Vietnam make it forgettable. Going to the villages, eating with the villager local food that they recommended and drinking beer with them.

Very relaxing and amusing to them because I am the only foreigner there. LOL.


edit: In Hue right now, very small place so best to make friends with a local villager guide not those kind of company's guide. So instead of seeing pagoda and dead people resting place, visit their village. Darn cheap. Duck porridge x3, beer bottles x2 all for $4 SGD.

hi bro

i am travelling alone, so i cant share the money with companions. i googled and found banks like dbs, Citibank, uob in hcm. i plan to keep the money inside citibank, uob and posb and withdraw using the atm in these banks.

i have checked with citibank and there is no withdraw charge. i need to go to dbs and uob to check if i can withdraw money from their atm machones also.

Ngoài ra, kiểm tra nhà hàng, cơ quan chức năng còn lập thêm nhiều biên bản các lỗi như: kinh doanh rượu nhập lậu nhưng không dán nhãn mác tiếng Việt, quảng cáo rượu trên 30 độ, dùng băng đĩa nhái… Nhiều dàn máy hát, rượu, đĩa nhạc bị thu giữ.

Theo cảnh sát, nhà hàng Phong Thành là chốn ăn chơi có tiếng tại Sài Gòn. Nơi đây quy tụ dàn “chân dài” trẻ đẹp để phục vụ khách trong những buổi nhậu nhẹt. Do giá cả tại đây đắt đỏ nên khách đến đây gồm nhiều đại gia, Việt kiều và được đặt biệt danh là “zách lục lục” (địa chỉ 166).

that was the first local-style KTV I went in Vietnam, way back in 2007. I can still remember the girls and their gorgeous boobs. :p
