Of course I will not send her any money. She never contacted me after she came back to VN for 3months. Then, all of a sudden she called me like crazy and wanted me to send her money to buy air tickets.

The funny thing is, she doesn't have any bank account, but she wanted me to bring money to the bank and transfer it, then she will collect the money from a local bank in Vietnam. Will that work? She insisted that will work. Any brother has tried this before? I am not talking about Western union or Money Gram, but bank-to-bank remittance.

Scorching heat to continue in Vietnam

VietNamNet Bridge - Hot weather is forecast to continue in central and northern Vietnam this week, with temperatures reaching top 40oC.

Northern provinces will be affected by a hot westerly low-pressure system as arid winds move through the central region. Both areas will experience high temperatures hovering around 35-38 degrees, according to the National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center.

The northern central region will suffer the worst heat, with some places due for mercury levels over 40 degrees.

Meanwhile, the Central Highlands and southern regions will be sunny and, in late afternoons and evenings, sparse showers will roll in with thunderstorms in some places.

The highest temperatures in the two regions will touch 33 degrees.

Sunday was the third day for the central and northern regions to suffer in the latest heat wave. Residents in provinces like Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An reported they felt as if they were in a “frying pan” with temperatures touching 38-40 degrees.

Can, use Western Union, but fees a bit steep.

Just need the full name of the ger. Pay Western Union, service fee abt $20 at least.
SMS the transaction code to the ger. She can withdraw from her end via Western Union branches.

Heard City Plaza also can. Have not tried though.
