Hi bros, going to HCMC a 2nd time after my first trip in 2011. Will be going with a friend who is a newbie. Besides the hair salons n spas in District 1 where i am quite familiar. Any other districts good got ktv,spas or other night activities? :p

if you've been reading u know that d1 is not where they hangout... d1 is mostly for tourist. but if you're going with another newbie, maybe u can check H88 signature, there's some details there. Otherwise i think its best that you try to get some local's or seniors help.

First time in Vietnam and I decided to go to le duyen 4 to check it out!

Ticket price 180k for facial and massage. And I tip the girl 150k but she asked for more so we ended up settling for 200k. Has tere been an inflation or I just got ripped off? Because from my research readin this thread it seems charges should be 120k entry and 100k tips no?

Bro, Based on you tube on saloon. Seen plenty of pretty vietnames girl in uniform. Are they just hairdresser or they can do others such as short time. Sorry newbie to vietnam.

Finally reached Saigon, D1.

Honestly I had a shocked of how flooded the place is with tourists. Kinda missed the quiet towns and villages I went to. Even Hanoi the capital is quieter though HCMC is the de facto capital, money making city. First impression was sleazy and, sex & the city. Kind of disappointed.

26 hours in bus is no joke. Gonna need a good massage tomorrow night. Neck and shoulder aching lol.

Edit: Just realized the Vietnam website guide is missing. Damn suay....

anyway many recent pm from newbies asking for local cheong places which require to speak tieng viet...so mostly I ignored them...my take is if you dun speak tieng viet the gals will not know how to talk with newbies and newbies will no way enjoy themselves in those places...be it ktv, cafe, etc...because they dun know them...:)

most recent raids in D1, D3, D5, D7, D8, D10, Binh Thanh and Tan Binh had closed 90% of the cheong places...so no point to visit hcm for the time being...:)
