22 foreign women picked up in anti-vice raids on two hotels in Subang Jaya

POLICE picked up 22 foreign women suspected to be involved in vice in separate raids on two hotels here and in Subang Jaya last night and early this morning.

Fifteen Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese nationals were nabbed at a budget hotel here in a 1am raid today by a Subang Jaya district police team. Police also recorded the statements of 25 men at the hotel.

The women, mostly in their 20s, and several workers were taken to the district police headquarters for questioning.

The raid was part of a district-wide crime prevention campaign by Subang Jaya police, which began yesterday evening.

Earlier, a team from the Selangor police anti-vice, gambling and secret society division detained seven Chinese nationals at a five-star hotel in Subang Jaya.

The women were picked up from separate rooms on different floors in the 7pm raid yesterday.
