Actually we dont know how they handle such cases nowadays. The okts for taking the gals money had already commited an offence and that's misappropriation or embezzlement. They can be charge in court just like those boss of ordinary foreign workers. The court can then order them to pay restitution. I guess in this case the okt may prefer to go to jail rather than paying..:p

Prostitution is technically legal in Singapore, but its many restrictions includes:

1) prohibiting the selling or buying of any woman or girl for the purpose of prostitution either inside or outside the country.

This means that the girl has to be a willing party, no girl trafficked in solely for the sex trade is legal.

Ref: Section 140(1)(a)

2) it's illegal to live off a prostitute's money. A person is deemed to be knowingly doing so if he/she controls, directs or influences the movements of the prostitute in concern.

Thus, any OKTs not registered and who "owns" a girl and take the girl's money earned thru providing sexual service is not a legal move. Any registered OKTs who offers girls not registered is also comitting an offence.

Ref: Section 146.

If I remember correctly, prostitution is technically illegal in all Muslim countries (read Malaysia, Indonesia, etc), Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, China and more. Yes, even Thailand.

How they circumvent that is another issue.
