How I wish neither of Scum or Chelshite will win the league this season :D

Yea... Bro Rahl, at times I wish too that they finish barren this season but looks like its either these 2 for the league title now, though I would rather see (and gloat over) these Devils finishing with nothing all of a sudden.:D
Remembering that 1 more league title and they are just 1 away from equalling our beloved Liverpool's 18... and this thot alone is so hard to bear.. for me at least. Anyway, the focus for us now is on the Champions League trophy.. Hmm... a REDS vs CATALANS final in Moscow (with the REDS prevailing) would be so gratifying..

I know bro, but let's stop looking over our shoulders. 1 title away or 10, it doesn't matter. We just got to keep believing and supporting our manager, players and club, and look forward to our 19th. We are, who knows, on the threshold of greatness. We have already shown much progress this year. ;)

I have a feeling that Rafa will again feel the 2nd team against Birmingham. And it was nice to see Wenger under so much stress at every game. :D

I would like 2 see Liverpool secure EPL 4th place 2day at St. Andrews stadium.
Next wed 30/4,they will be fully forcus against chelsea at stamford bridge.
The Reds k throw everything they hv at the blues,w/o anymore worries on their participation in the UCL next season.
stamford bridge is not a fortress.

a lot of teams hv taken pts there.
In EPL tis season,blackburn(15/9/7),Fulhan(29/9/7),Everton(11/11/7), Villa(26/23/7),Liverpool(10/2/8) & Wigan(14/4/9) hv collected at least pt at stamford bridge.
In the UCL,Rosenborg(18/9/7) & Valencia(11/12/7) hv also taken a pt there as well.

It's not impossible 2 score goals against them at stamford bridge.
ManuU,Birmingham,Rosenborg,Leicester,Everton,Villa ,Newcastle,Huddersfield, Derby,Arsenal & Wigan had scored at least a goal against the blues at stamford bridge.

The Reds jz need 2 score at least a goal at stamford bridge next week,& force them 2 come out of their shell.

I disagree with you on this bro. Firstly, I doubt Everton will win their last 3 matches so we may qualify for next year's CL without doing anything.

Secondly, the CL is a cash cow, winning the semi-final brings us more money. If we win the CL again, we can win more prize money and sell merchandise and get more $$$ from sponsors in future. Birmingham, on the other hand, isn't that lucrative. Besides, it's not as if we are in serious danger of losing 4th spot at this point in time.

3rdly, I will like to see us blood some fresh players for next season. We have a GREAT youth policy. We won the Youth FA Cup twice in a row and have recently won the Northen Reserve League, 10 points ahead the rest of our competitors. That's how good our new blood is. It will be a waste if we dun give them a chance to move to our first 11 or first 16. Who here have heard of Damien Phlessis in early March? I think a lot of us think he's a great prospect now but how many more Damien Phlessis are there in our reserve squad, waiting for a chance?

Lastly, I don't think Birmingham is an easy opponent. They are fighting for survival in relegation spots. I think they will run their guts out and give us a real match. Wun want our first 11 to expend too much energy before we meet Chelsea.

I really hope to see a team of new reserves taking on Birmingham tonight. Gives us a great chance to see our exciting upcoming talents in action.

i had a dream ...

Sat 26 April

rafa fields his 2nd string team , and gives some new up and coming reserves their first game. Pennant scores his first hat trick in his last few games for liverpool. Voronin, lucas, kewell all score too. Score liverpool 7 birmingham 0. Pennant wepts at end of game , overwhelmed with emotions as the 'pool fans claps in appreciation and farewell...

meanwhile at stamford bridge, ronaldo gets the rough treatment from JT and gang. They kick and foul him at every opportunity. Alex Ferguson rants in anger, suffers a heart attack a la Houllier and gets send to the hospital.
ronaldo suffers an ankle injury ruling him out for the next 1 year. 94 min, the game at 0-0, then suddenly the refree gives a soft penalty to chelsea. :eek:Lampar scores! from the spot and looks up at the sky..... tears rolling down his cheeks. 1-0 to chelski

fast forward to wed at stamford bridge again. liverpool attacks from the start! however, they got caught out and joe cole the nemesis scores from 25 yards. 2nd half- waves after waves of liverpool attack but czech is in good form and saves a dozen shots fr gerrard and torres. time is running out and at 95 min, JT clears a routine cross into the penalty area and the ball hits ashely coles bum and rolls into the net. 1-1 !! a lifeline for 'pool!!:D

Scoreless for extra time as both teams play defensive. Then penalty kicks, reina saves fr drogba. then its up to riise. if he scores, liverpool wins. he takes a deep breath.... and curls his shot at 100km/h and the ball bulges the net!! gooooooooooooaaaaaalllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Riise sends liverpool into the CL finals!!! the 'pool fans claps and roars in approval as riise wepts with joy as all is forgiven....

to the CL finals, without ronaldo & ferguson, Man U looks lost. van der saar has a off day and doesnt manage to save any goals. Liverpool strolls to a 5-0 victory coutesy of another hat trick by torres. and crowned champions for yet another time.....:)

as for who is the BPL champion, it didnt appear in my dreams so i dunno:p

bro,u could be rite that the blue of Liverpool might not win their last 3 games.
But I only said I "would like 2 see Liverpool secure EPL 4th place 2day at St. Andrews stadium."
They might not need their best 11 there 2 win.
Like wat u mentioned, the Reds hv veri gd new blood.
These new blood could win tis game 4 the Reds w/o the 1st 11's involvement.

Yes,I knw that the UCL is veri lucrative.
Better depend on yrself then 2 wait 4 others 2 help.

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

BENITEZ: FOURTH IS OURS

Rafael Benitez praised his side's second-half display after they fought back from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw at Birmingham City and all-but clinch a top four finish.
The result means the Reds are now nine points clear of fifth placed Everton with just three games remaining for David Moyers' side, and thanks to a vastly superior goal difference, Benitez feels his team can now focus on the Champions League meeting with Chelsea on Wednesday night safe in the knowledge that fourth place is in the bag.

"The idea was to win and guarantee fourth place," said Benitez.

"We didn't achieve that but a draw is another option and puts us in a very strong position. Now we can think about the next game against Chelsea and hopefully we can progress in the Champions League and be really focused in the final.

"I am really pleased with the second-half because I think that the team played much better. To score two goals in the second-half and create the chances we did was very, very positive.

"We started the game controlling things for the first 30 minutes but then we conceded the goal and we couldn't manage. So at half-time we talked about how we could improve and I think the mentality of the players was positive.

"You must guarantee the Champions League for next season. We are almost sure now in fourth position and so we can think about Chelsea.

"I'd like to finish as high as possible but sometimes this cannot happen and at the end you must be happy with the fourth position and happy if you do well in the Champions League."

The Reds boss made nine changes to the side that took on Chelsea in the Champions League semi-final first-leg at Anfield and admitted that the performances of both Jermaine Pennant and Peter Crouch had given him food for thought ahead of the decisive clash at Stamford Bridge.

"Pennant was a threat for them throughout the game and he is an option we have on the right side and when he is playing well he is really dangerous."

The Reds had looked on the verge of a fifth league defeat of the season until Crouch's 11th goal of the campaign and an OG from Raidi Jaidi cancelled out strikes from Mikael Forssell and Sebastian Larsson.

The Reds boss can now approach the game with Avram Grant's men in good spiirts after reporting that his players had come through the match with Birmingham unscathed.

Mathematically Liverpool have secured 4th place & unless Everton are able to win by 5 goals or more on their last 3 games (which i dun think they can :D), we can look forward to champions league participation next season.
