Has the cost of wrapping plastic casing increased? Anyone can advise?

I intend to wrap gold casing but did not dare to ask in FLS cos it will definitely cost a bomb and KIV this idea for a later time.

Bro if plastic casing, very cheap only 10-20 around there. Several years ago when I did the casing. However gold case it is a lot expensive. Another thing is if the amulet is not that valuable, in terms of real value and your value to it, then get a normal case will do. If you are high on your $$, by all means do in any way you seems fit.

As for gold case,you need to check on the size of your amulet. The bigger the more gold is used so the price varies. In the past, I had done a few before, prices ranging 180-350 from Goldenmile because of the different type of gold use. Thailand gold 96.5 is more expensive than local 91.6 due to the gold content. Things to look out, workmanship price and gold value.

The next question is will you go thailand often if that is the case, getting the job done over there will be much cheaper.

BUT I NEED TO WARN you about this beforehand, is the amulet you intend to gold cased of value? If that is of value eg: 1-2k sg dollars in open market, do not let your amulet get out of your sight, because they might swapped your with a fake. This is real so do not take it lightly.

Try to ask for some quotations if are afraid to become veg head.

If you have several amulet to wrap gold. Come to CNX here. Prices are sure cheaper than BKK. A few of my amulet siao Singaporean friends did a comparison. I'm wondering why many of my Thai friends doesn't wrap their amulet, with gold, instead just those normal casing.

Bro, do you mean Chang Mai?

Maybe those folks prefer their amulets to be as 朴素 as possible. Plain & simple accompany with the same respect to it.

Anyway it's the thought that counts.

Currently in Phnom Penh :D :D :D My tour of duties in Indo, Viet and Thai have ended. To my surprise Cambodia gers not bad looking. :eek:

Anyway, I have wrapped 2 of my amulets gold in BKK.. Paid about 300SGD each.
