Don't know what happen behind the scenes,Hicks has been keeping mum recently. Looks like Rafa has to offload some of the out of favour players first before he can bring in the new ones.
Ferguson to retire in 3 years ? I take it with a bucket of salt :)

Fergie retiring ?I also don't believe. So far Liverpool lately has been very quiet. I wonder why? A lot of news happening in Chelsea and Arsenal. Are we also going to see some movement of the players at Liverpool ? And wondering will there be new owners in Liverpool this summer ?

Bro,I beg to differ. Don't think Queiroz is the main reason for MU's recent success,Ronaldo is, I doubt he is that well respected by MU players too.
Just look at Sammy Lee, being an outstanding No.2 doesn't mean he can take up the No.1's job.
I am sure MU fans will be reluctant to let Ferguson go before he delivers the 19.

Here's something for u :D

From yesterday's issue of Liverpool Times daily :-

Who? - Fernando Torres
Where is he? - Liverpool
Who is he linked with? - Chelsea
Chelsea will offer 50 million in a bid to sign Fernando Torres from Liverpool, if reports are to be believed. The Spainiard has made a big impression at Anfield in his first season since arriving from Spain, and Rafa Benitez will be keen to keep hold of him. However, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is looking for ways to strengthen his side after the Blues ended the term trophyless. Torres is thought to be at the top of his wishlist, and he could take advantage of the internal disruption at Anfield to sign him. An insider is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail: "There is a desire among certain people at Liverpool to sell at the right price. It's just a case of whether they have the nerve to incur the wrath of the Liverpool fans."

well bro u shd read ferguson s autobiography where he credits queiroz for mu s sucess before he left for madrid n the reason he offerd him the no2 job when he got the boot frm madrid, yes some r gd enough for being no 2 only, sammy lee is a good coach but i don t think he is good at man mangement.i doubt pool will ever offer him the manager s job.

I guess its good time to shift those out-of-favour players out, and bring in new bloods, but the new ones must be better then those, or at least can perform better when call upon to play.

as for hicks, well, he can go to yellow-stone park and enjoy sun-tanning and steam for all he wants, just get his fat ass out of Anfield, the faster he sells, the better i guess for the club. I wont be surprise he is the willing party being mentioned by reports as to offload Torres for 50m,

also bro, dun take too much salt, if not wait you need to go certain organisation for weekly event, not cursing you, but I dun believe tat fer will even go.....

I dare not think what will happen if the current owners stay another season.....

look at it this way, we have a stadium half the size of scums, we dun have the cash of the roman club, nor do we have as many up coming young players as arsene wenger's arsenal, and SG is getting older, more mature, but he wont last for another 5-8 years, can he???? JC is also coming into his 30s, we certainly need a new stadium, and also alot of funds to get the right players for now and future.....

but with the current owners, we heard alot of talks.....and nothing much.....the stadium design have been approved twice under their 'leadership' how many more times will they change the design b4 the work starts? by then maybe everton might have gotten their new stadium too.....

that is why he is staying for another 3 years lor.
now that they had secured their 17 titles,he needs one more to equal and another more to surpass.
he is also trying to equal or surpass the 5 European Cup/CL,2 more to equal and another 1 to surpass.
he is trying to go for no.19 and no.6 respectively.

That's not a fair statement bro. Not sure what you are basing that on. From players' interviews, it is clear many of them applaud Rafa not just as a master tactician but also as a motivator and 'manager' of players. Sure he was affected by the departure of the coach but similarly red nose suffered when his lieutenant departed for real.

IMHO,it's equally unfair to say that he is very good on man management.
I haven't heard Gerrard or Carragher ever mention Rafa is a motivator,I must have missed that. I don't appreciate the way he treated Crouch,a player who almost scored everytime when he was on the pitch.

That's not the same as man management. In fact it can be argued that Rafa is good at it because for all the shit that Crouch has been through, he still hasn't come out to criticise the manager unlike players in other clubs and still wants to remain at Pool. ;)
