It is not pork ribs. Bun Cha is a plate of rice noodle (thick bee hoon) serve with a bowl of grill pork in a cold broth. The grill pork in some shop are more like pork ball with interior mince meat.

The broth is sweet and sour, and also it has the unique taste of fish sauce.
Bun Cha is often serve with a plate with raw vegetables.

Perhaps the authentic Bun Cha are in the northern Vietnam.

Hey Hurricane. I need to update the post I made about great venues for new people. This will mean that I have to repost it regularly as new info comes in. I'm definitely happy to remove the older versions as I post new ones but just wanted to check in with you first on your preferred procedure. The statement below is incorrect.

During my last visit to Vien Dong, the place was crowded with tourists from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore etc. It got so crowded, some of the guys were even sharing a shower cubicle.
