Just saw this post, i took bus 152 about 6 time before from airprort to ben thanh market. The price is 5000 VND, journey time is approx. 30 mins.
Just get up the bus, find a seat and wait until bus driver come up the bus. Every passenger will then go to the the bus front counter and put 5K VND into the slot, bus driver will give u a ticket after. If u have a big luggage to put at the bus bottom compartment, they will charge u for extra.

Best to just keep quiet and put 5k VND in the slot at bus front counter if u carry a small backpack. I saw 1 jap lady went to counter to ask price, the driver ask her to paid 3 time more, 5K VND for taking bus, 5K VND for her small backpack and 5K VND for her small sling pouch...:D

Normally xe buyt operates till about 7pm.
So u need to see If ur flight timing is able to get you on the bus.
Alternatively, u can go near the domestic airport and get uncle to drive u.
It's much better than taxi as they are always caught in a jam.
But u need to be comfy with some daring driving.
Suggestion to have face mask, air isn't that good,especially on xe om.

I had been replying this classic way for the past few years....:)

The VND exchange rate strengthen consideraly due to peg to USD...think will spend lesser nowadays...hic hic...:p

think now only around 16200 dong to SGD 1.
