Oh for sure! All change needs a lot of supporting factors.

But momentous change usually come from one individual with clarity of purpose, resolve and fibre of steel, plus intelligence to match. GOOD change comes if that individual is of good heart, and I think most will agree that LKY matches all these qualities. Otherwise, you'd end up with the Philippines where it was also one individual who turned his country from one with the second highest per capita GDP in Asia, to what it is today.

Singapore - and LKY - has really done well.
