is only my second time to Thailand..unsure due to language barrier..usually the toilets require me to pay at least a 5 THB. sorry for asking such dumb questions..much appreciated on the payment confirmation..

Young man, public toilets do charge 5bht, no diff from where you come from (like hawker centres). Even popular MBK mall charge, small pittance for use and cleanliness. But most malls free access, with AC thrown in.

For night spots, no minimum list price. But typical of Thailand's reknown service, you get few loo staff who will open basin tap, get a towel for you. Even give you a mini rub down on your neck, shoulder whilst you peeing at urinal. You can smile and decline politely (Thai face thingy). All this with a tip expected of course. You will also see a convenient small basket with some baht notes. At most 20bht will do, so have this denomination handy if 1 beer too many. After a few X same night, your face will 'familiar' and with a smile can also mean you more than prepaid earlier.:p

For go-go bars Nana and SC, in-house loos free. But don't get shocked with dancers doing make up there, and maybe get a close look upfront (or lobang)
