in the clubbing/nite scene, adaptability, self-renewal and rejuvenation plays the no.1 reason for its survival and long term sustainability. sadly planet diskotek or even sphinx has missed the point and it seems to be going the way of legend hotel, ozon bukit.
during its heydays (the hotel's still at the pilling stage), the place is packed to the rim on weekend and vip/ktv rooms had to be booked 2-3 days in advance. maybe choices were restricted then - sphinx, hotel ozon, pesona.but there were no doubt it Was the in place for partying then.

pn: the site of planet3 was the location of the very 1st pujesera in batam.
legend hotel was a dangdut dance hall with pay per dance hostess...:cool:

Thank you for your trust. I will most likely be heading there on one of my solo trips to try and not on group trips. Shall test them out and if its any good (or not-good),i shall let you know and i show you how i compare yours towards via an apple to apple comparison.

Example,if your massage place has BM (breast massage),i will compare your best with mine by showing you where. If your massage place offers ass-rim,i will do the same to allow you to compare both and of course for the HDLY,Vitalitas (indo juagen),Crawling ants massage,plucking mango etc too.

We shared similar frequency bro. I rarely choose girls from album in most massage shops i went to. Take a look at the album i will,but i dont pick from there.But I do tell the receptionist my basic requirement on massage. Let them run on queue to give ALL girls a chance,hehehe...and to test my luck. Sometime can find gems too.

Side note : Those not in their album at most time (for me) were much better than those in the album,something i learned ONLY in Batam during 2015,hehehe...

The exchange rate when i 1st visit Batam was about 8400 to 8700/SGD (if i dont remember wrong). Today,its about 9500/SGD,so thats about 9%-10% in favor to Sillyporeans. So i assume food-wise has been offset by the exchange rates. The new booking joint were Bunga,Happy 8,Hawaii and MM over the last 2 years. These joints has no 600k girls,hehehe... Massage shops i guess being the worst in the case (special service),hehehe....i always tell myself,i wont pay XXX amount of dollar for special service and i know i eventually wont have to at the end of most massage session. 90% time,i will win,hehehe...

Just my perspective.

This disco had been there for DONKEY years already. They use to have casino there. Main bulk of money making is casino...

That's before PACIFIC disco. Planet was once the best around.

Thanks a lot for your insightful comments. You must have been around there for a long time already.

What do you think about Sphinx? Every time I think I should go there to have a look, but I never do. I am lazy and I always go where I am more familiar (Newton or Pacific). Maybe, it is not even open anymore. How is it? or how was it? Like Planet 1? Or more like Planet 3?
And about Ozon?? Is it true that it is (was) the worst of the worst?

What about FL in Sphynx? I had a delicious friend until one year ago (we had an argument and I deleted her from my list, while she has some Australian boyfriend now), who I met in Newton as FL. She told me that she was also going to meet her guests in Sphynx. Since she was extremely pretty and sexy, I thought that my negative preconception opinion about Sphynx must have been wrong.

Seemed like you stayed in Batam.....
Another hotel which intrigues me is the Sari Jaya Hotel.
It is still functional. The decor looks very 60 n 70s.
My favorite barber shop is same building as the hotel.

Went there once during a weekend at 11pm or 12am can't remember, just only this year I think .. disco was empty but ktv seems to be happening as there's some crowd going in and out with "almost full car park outside".

Was told by the security to come back after 1am for the disco but don't expect much. It's more popular with the locals during weekdays night as weekend those pros will be heading to Newton, noname etc..

And this place is actually not new, been there quite awhile .. Sphynx is the new name.

Reminds me,few mths ago,1 ah lau takes either drink too much or take too much ecstasy, jumps out of this hotel window in the wee hour of the morning. Lots of crowd then...

Many older gen Sinkies dn't believe tat. Till today,i still dn't understd the mindset of those not wearing CD when gng to btm for sex.

I dn't quite like btm girls tat says they were from Jkt. Most will open lioness mouth pricing. Their $ expectation seems higher.

yea yea...same quality kind in booking joint can get 600k-700k,max 800k. Can have 3-some & yet spare change for their nxt morning tips. :D

Y'day (9 mar) also got heaven dog eat the sun (solar eclipse) tat happens only once every 33 years. Heard frm news tat only Indonesia can see the total eclipse. :D
