What a shitty display again, once again. Cut open in defense like knife thru butter.

I think honestly the bottom sides can play better than us away.

Five away games, one goal. Minus the Bellamy goal taken away from us today.

Next game away against Boro, come on!!!

Sigh... There would have been more possibilities had we gotten the 1st, all-impt goal... :(

Once we were a goal down, we became more desperate and I think couldn't keep to our normal game... And this has been the same old story for all our away games in the league this season... Oh, and how we missed momo...

Well, we can only look forward to the next game...

Just read this in Liverpoolfc.tv:

RAFA: WE MUST START WINNING
Jimmy Rice 13 November 2006

Rafael Benitez insists he is not thinking about the title race after watching his side slump to a 3-0 defeat at the Emirates.
However, the Liverpool boss believes his side will now have an easier ride on their travels having already played Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton away from Anfield.

"I am not thinking about the title race," said the Spaniard.

"The only thing that matters is the next game and we need to start winning away if we are going to be closer.

"It is clear this is not good enough. We know we need to improve. We need to show character and show our quality.

"I have some ideas but I need to work with the players until the next game.

"Maybe now we are playing against teams away who don't have the same quality. But we need to stop talking and start winning away."

Benitez believes the Reds' poor away form, which has yielded just one point from a possible 18, is partly down to their inability to score first.

He said: "We need to score first but we are conceding first and we cannot score and go on to win games.

"I could see two different games on Sunday. In the first half the team was there and creating chances, we were in the game and regaining second balls and the tactics were okay.

"But we conceded at the end of first half and early in the second half and that was a big difference.

"In the second half we did not play well. We conceded the types of goals to mistakes you wouldn't normally make.

"I'm not looking for excuses. It's clear we need to improve, and we need to find how we can do that. I'm not talking about individual players, we need to improve as a team away from home.

"On Sunday the second goal was the key. The first one was disappointing but we could talk at half-time, but we conceded too early in the second half. We lost confidence and against a good team with a lot of quality players if you leave space they can play on the counter-attack."

C'MON YOU MIGHTY REDS!!!

Aiya bro of cos, but the big question is, why do we keep conceding the first goal? Honestly I thought in the first half against arsenal (and against all the other big clubs away), we played well without looking like scoring. Tio bo? :(

It was indeed a very disappointing result last night, esp since Arsenal had just lost their previous match and they lost a couple of players and Liverpool was on a high. But alas, it was not to be.

But, Red fans, don't lose heart. It is still quite early days yet. We will come good. Looking on the bright side, we had the more difficult away games out of the way and the other big teams hadn't had theirs yet and they haven't visited Anfield. They will drop points in due course.

Last night, it was unfortunate we conceded a late first half goal and then an early 2nd half goal. Those really killed the team's spirit. If we had not let in that first goal, we could have really given Arsenal a very hard time given that the team was actually quite surprisingly adventurous going forward.

One thing that really bugs me the way Liverpool plays is for some reason, there is a lack of movement up front. With Arsenal, you can see the players are always moving around and there is always someone who will attempt to thread a through ball forward. Liverpool on the other hand is quite static and like there is a lack of understanding between the players, maybe could be due to the constant changing of the team by Benitez. Another thing that really bugs me is Liverpool likes to brake when moving forward. Whenever you feel like they are doing well moving forward and getting really exciting, the player holding the ball will stop, look around, and then pass the ball back to the defenders and then they will try to move forward again. Loss of momentum and allowed the other team to regroup.

Cheers

Tio bro. I think it is a catch-22 situation. In previous seasons, we don't play well (in terms of attacking) but was solid at the back and managed to grind out some results. But, this season, we got relatively better strikers but they are not yet producing the goods. And by being more adventurous moving forward, they left gaps at the back. And the more we fail in scoring the first goal, the more frustrating we get, and ppl lose their concentration. Benitez just have to find a way to tighten up the back, esp the left side.

Cheers

seein Pool humiliated 3-0 is such a bitter pill to swallow for us pool fans. but i always take consolation tt we fans in s'pore oredi felt like fuck .. those super die hard fans in UK would have felt even worse than us!!!

i tot Pool played well but a lapse in concentration cost them to concede 3 stupid goals. look at d ease how arse split their defence for d 1st n 2nd ... n d 3rd was unforgivable! All d pool players stood ball watchin as an unmarked Gallas scored fr a header!!!

i thk Sissoko's absence was crucial yesterday. his combative presence was lacking in midfield. he could have cost d arse midfield plenty of problems. his replmt Gonzalez, in my opinion performed horrendously. very often his passes went astray. N he tried too hard to take on d arse defence, such tt he often lost possession of d ball.

Plus pt for Pool was Kuyt's performance. He was hardwkg, showed plenty of gd movements n was a handful for d arse defence. too bad he didnt get enuff of support. i hope he will finally gel with Crouch 1 day but their understdg is still sorely lacking. juz see how Looney combined with Saha, or how Drogba n Shevchenko complimented ea other.

aiya very sleepy liao .. dun wanna talk more lah ... juz wanna let out some of my feelings n frustrations as a Pool fan. let's 4give n 4get (as usual) ... til d next match, let's hope Pool will get their act right .....

Funny... I thought I write alot yesterday morning but seems like all lost after the sever crashed..

Anyway, I think the headline on yesterday newpaper sums it up.. Gerrard look lost? Think the whole team looked lost...

Suprised to see Gonzales in the line up.. Like I said before, his play look navie to me, just like a schoolboy playing football..

Our passing is so 'good' we end up passing from attack to defence.. Seems like we cant create much chances..

In short, we must really sort out the away form real fast!

I think Reina should be given a break to recuperate from his poor form. We have an able Dudek to cover for a while. Gerrard given his most effective permanent Central Position.

I think by switching to 5-3-2 for a while might be better for the team since Pennant and Gonzalez has not settled in the team yet.

Nice idea.. Since we tinker so much, might as well tinker with formationa s well.. Who knows we might strike gold and settle on a solid and effective formation! Cos I believe we do have enough quality to try anything, that is as long as the players get time to adapt to it..

Anyway suprised not to see Bro Wukong make any comments! Busy trying to hide his Liverpool jersey so Liverpool wont lose again? :D
