I don't know whether China Air is the cheapest. I do know that ValuAir has the least passengers on its flight to Xiamen. My last trip (early this month) has only 15 passengers on a A320 and the return trip -- only 5 passengers. AND they cancel the flight for my return trip claiming that 2 of their planes have been sent for servicing and the next flight will be a week later -- that is 15 July 2005.

No choice but to take their offer -- take a flight to Hongkong by DragonAir for transit to Singapore via their Hongkong/Singapore flight. Their compensation RM$100 per person for lunch and RM$90 for the airport tax.

I don't know how long ValuAir can survive

Will not survive unless they slash their ticket to Xiamen. It is so expensive. The cheapest rtn ticket to Xiamen is 400 without tax n u hav to book 30days advance, air china only abt 310 without tax, no need 30 days.
